SDS Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I have a 2010 Mazda 3 hatchback with a "Bose 10-speaker audio system". I'm fairly certain the amp has blown and it costs $600 for a new one. Used are hard to find. Given the $$$ for a new amp, I'm wondering if a new aftermarket system is a better play? The probelm is that all the Bose stuff is made to work with each other, so just replacing one component may yield inferior results with anything that remains. Do we have any car audio junkies here?
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) I would go with a new system. Maybe try and sell your old Bose system as is. Maybe someone needs a few parts from it I also sent you a PM awhile back about something Scott. Not sure if you have read it yet CBF Edited April 7, 2015 by Canadian Bills Fan
Johnny Hammersticks Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 Try calling Crutchfield customer service. I have found them to be very helpful. For example, I was looking for a moderately priced home theater system. I spoke with a representative, told them what I was looking for and my price range, and the guy turned me onto a Vizio unit that I am tremendously satisfied with. I didn't even purchase the product from them, as I found it cheaper elsewhere, but the were very courteous and knowledgeable. 1-800-555-7088 FWIW...I have had great success with Alpine car audio products. Reasonably priced and they perform well.
