Yeah. Go early, drink a lot, and try the smoked wings. Pretty decent BBQ there for a bar.

Great local music venue with a nice outside deck you can retreat to when it's hot outside. Who is he going to see?

It would be him and me. He's only 13. Pig Destroyer is the band.

Hmmm. I don't know if I would take a child that age to the haunt for Pig Destroyer. The place can get pretty rowdy...more so I'm guessing for a metal show. The students will be in full force too...place will be packed.

Does your boy have the "bar show" experience to be able to handle that?

Another great place to eat before or after the show is a tavern/bar (they have bands there as well) called "The Nines"...great wings and pizza is amazing.

No, he has no bar show experience, but I was hoping it was more than just a bar - but a venue with an open area near the stage, but other areas to be able to observe the entertainment. Kind of like Upstate Music Hall (Northern Lights) for any 518ers who would be able to compare.

I don't worry about mosh pits or rowdiness. It's a metal show and that's part of the experience (to see, not do). But I don't want to take him into a bar, per se. I guess I thought this was more of a venue.
