Doc Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Wish we could get them here in CT. But allegedly they're scared-off by Stop & Shop (Giant further south) and/or Big Y. But I'm sure there are major competitors in other markets so I don't really buy that excuse.

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 One of the things I miss about living in Rochester... Â People who have never been to wegman's have no idea what they are missing.
Jobu Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 One of the things I miss about living in Rochester... Â People who have never been to wegman's have no idea what they are missing. Â Yes but have you ever shopped the Pig? http://www.shopthepig.com/
PromoTheRobot Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Â Yes but have you ever shopped the Pig? http://www.shopthepig.com/ On vacation. "Y'all want that in a sack?"
The Big Cat Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 The closest thing we have to Wegmans here in Chicago is Mariano's. Just had lunch there today with wife.
motorguy Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 In the Minneapolis area, Cub Foods is close to Wegman's, but, I would rate Kowalski's higher than Wegmans.
mead107 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Love Wegmans. Lot of stores are trying to copy them.
coloradobillsfan Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 there is nothing even in the same solar system as Wegmans out here in Colorado
YoloinOhio Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Giant eagle market district tries to emulate wegmans in Cbus but sadly it isn't the same.
Doc Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 They are in Massachusetts and NJ already. I would not be surprised if they end up in CT someday. Yeah, they've been there for years, so you'd figure they'd already have tried to enter CT.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Giant eagle market district tries to emulate wegmans in Cbus but sadly it isn't the same. That's the closest we have. It isn't the same and is a rip off.
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 That's the closest we have. It isn't the same and is a rip off.agreed. It's overpriced. Wegmans isn't at all overpriced yet the quality blows the competition away.
Marv's Neighbor Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I drive 70 miles each way, every 4-5 weeks, to get to Wegmans in Fredericksburg VA. And I hate driving on I-95 too. Well worth the trip!
boyst Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Harris teeter is as close as we got here. And that is an hour away
mead107 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Price chopper is trying to get more like them. Will take years
Richmond_Bills Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Drove north on 95 today to hit the Wegmans in Fredericksburg. Ate dinner there, bought some Easter day meal items and of course....hit the bulk aisle for some Sponge Candy!
inkman Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 agreed. It's overpriced. Wegmans isn't at all overpriced yet the quality blows the competition away. They seem pretty pricey to me.
