Jauronimo Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Bandit knows his stuff and actually applies his skills frequently. Chef Jim was a fry cook I think. Beerball knows a trick or two and they all involve rubbing meat with ground coffee.
ricojes Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Many here eat crow frequently, but not sure who prepares it...
LeviF Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Was there ever a user called Hannibal Lecter here, or am I thinking of another forum?

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Chef Jim is a staunch believer in microwaves and crockpots. BringBackFergy Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I'd have to say Bandit, Chef Jim, Jauronimo...they all seem to have some knowledge (more than me anyway...so take it for what it's worth). Gugny has some good ideas in the Shoutbox from time to time when he's feeling "inspired". Best cooking tip I ever got from him. "Don't just rely on the popcorn button, actually listen to make sure it's done popping."He has a whole Twitter thread devoted to pickle juice...when to use it, how much and best applications. Bravisimo!!
Gugny Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 On a serious note: I, too, would have to nominate Bandit, Chef Jim and Jauronimo. My ideas are merely whims with no rhyme or reason. Those three actually do things because they make sense. On another serious note: rubbing coffee on meat is !@#$ing weird.

BringBackFergy Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 What do you rub your meat with?Olive oil and peppercorns
Jauronimo Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Used to be BF_in_Indiana. Did anyone figure out why his recipes and cook times were adapted for cooking in the stratosphere?
Jobu Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 It would have to be The Dean. His posts in the Sauce thread were stellar.
NoSaint Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Used to be BF_in_Indiana. until someone actually dethrones him - he still is the king. i think for the home opener someone should cook up some rettata
