The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 My father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate had a layover in St. Louis once. And he calls him the Grocery bagger. Also, makes fun of Albert Pujols' last name after he left.
NoSaint Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I live in St Louis and am well aware of Kurt Warner's history. (he was actually a stocker, not a grocery bagger, and it was after he was cut by GB and before he went to the Arena league). I just think it's ignorant and disrespectful to refer to a player who had an amazing decade+ pro career in those terms. you sho is angry
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 It was a joke. It's a term of endearment that he made it that far. It'd be like calling Freddie "the guidance counselor."
Jobu Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 It was a joke. It's a term of endearment that he made it that far. It'd be like calling Freddie "the guidance counselor." You nailed it TR.

NoSaint Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 @ProFootballTalk: Kurt Warner says his NFL offer was an April Fools joke http://t.co/38t1KQZ9sk so instead of "the grocery bagger" can i call him "the liar"
Alphadawg7 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Lmao at all the people arguing over what was clearly and April fools joke
offyourocker Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Lmao at all the people arguing over what was clearly and April fools joke Seriously. I guess it was a good one.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 You all know yesterday was April 1st right But when you're called out on an April Fool's joke you gotta admit it. It's like asking a hooker if she's a cop.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/02/kurt-warner-says-a-team-asked-him-to-consider-a-workout/ I didn't see a thread started about it, but a team asked him to work out. Who was it? It couldn't seriously be the Bills, could it? He's old but he's had plenty of rest not sure he has kept his strength up but I would definitely take a look. I thought he retired too soon maybe he's got a couple yrs in him but doubt he unretires.
NoSaint Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 But when you're called out on an April Fool's joke you gotta admit it. It's like asking a hooker if she's a cop. or in this case, not keep it up on april 2, and let your employer run with it into the 3rd
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Please stop. If we are calling up has beens, I would call up Favre before I called the grocery bagger. And I would not call Favre. Favre is beat down Kurt is not and that "Grocery bagger" has been to more superbowls than the interception king.
Maddog69 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 It sounds kinda crazy, but honestly I'd love it! The Bills have built this team to win NOW. Why not see if he has one more year in him?!! IMO, the only reason not to is if they've seen something in EJ this off-season that make them believe he's the guy. The Bills are built to win now. Warner is built to win 10 years ago.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 The Bills are built to win now. Warner is built to win 10 years ago. Nice. /thread
Nanker Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Whew! Glad he didn't accept The Bills generous offer. It would reset his HOF countdown clock to zero.
Jobu Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Favre is beat down Kurt is not and that "Grocery bagger" has been to more superbowls than the interception king. Kurt Warner can not hold a candle to Favre and his accomplishments. Hell Warner could not beat out Eli Manning for a starting job. The middle of Warner's career is like a graveyard. I would still take Favre over the grocery bagger. Edited April 3, 2015 by Show Me The Baby
TSOL Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I would still take Favre over the grocery bagger. That guy could bag a loaf of bread from the parking lot.
IslandBillsFan Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Many of the EJ faithful are confident if he can just be a "game manager" we can make the playoffs. I hate to say it but one versus the other I would rather have a 44 year old Kurt Warner game manger that a (Continuing)... ... Than a 25 year old EJ Manuel "game manager." PS. Don't give me the upside smupside EJ Manuel response.
