John from Riverside Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 "nobody circles the wagons like".............
BillsFanM.D. Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Marrone had the same slogan when he was will the Bills. You sir...have done very well with this.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 @viccarucci: New slogan among #Bills' hierarchy: "One ego, one goal." http://t.co/v21sQwk46z I think one goal would be better, one ego just clouds the goal
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer. That's my first round, what are you having?
mattsox Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 It's Our Time. LOL! Some season. Thought we settled on "Unfinished Business" When was that? 1991??? 1992?? 1993??
T master Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Marrones slogan was "One Ego , One Goal , One Mindset , MINE " And if you don't like it thats tough !! I am RELLY interested to see what the Jags O line is like this year !!
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Marrones slogan was "One Ego , One Goal , One Mindset , MINE " And if you don't like it thats tough !! I am RELLY interested to see what the Jags O line is like this year !! He's more than just the Oline. He's the assistant Head Coach. So h some power over the whole team.
Marv's Neighbor Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Maybe we should defer the slogan picking till AFTER the season.
Fan in Chicago Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I think one goal would be better, one ego just clouds the goal The Chicago Blackhawks have 'One Goal' and it makes much more sense there than for an (American) football team. Imo
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 So is the the annual "What should the team's slogan be this year" thread?
eball Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 A direct slap in the face to Marrone. This front office, while making a lot of good moves seems to be a bit spiteful and overly sensitive. The lose of Marrone hurt a lot more than many know. It shocked the FO, however, in turn, made them stronger. OBD may have room to mature but they are doing a great job. Imo I read it differently...this is more about how Rex feels a kinship with the Pegulas and Whaley as opposed to what he was dealing with in New Jersey. The loss of Marrone hasn't (and won't) hurt this team a bit.

I doubt whaley thinks about marrone too much. But I do think Rex has a chip on his shoulder about what idzik did with his roster, especially since he completely mismanaged his personnel in the secondary. Edited April 1, 2015 by YoloinOhio

Kirby Jackson Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I actually think that it is pretty simple. We have all worked in environments where we don't see eye to eye with someone that we work closely with. I had a coworker about 4 years ago that saw things almost exactly the opposite way that I did. We were very good friends outside of work, had the same goal but just could not agree on how to achieve that goal. It was incredibly frustrating and we had our share of confrontations on different subjects. I think that was certainly the case with Marrone and the Bills group as well as Rex and Idzik. Now, both sides are seeing things through the same lens and it makes it easier. They have a similar philosophy on how to achieve that common goal.
Mr. WEO Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Drop the slogans. They only come back to haunt. Slogans aren't for closers...
Kelly the Dog Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Slogans aren't for closers... That should be their slogan!

I don't think Marrone was well liked in the organization from the towel boys & janitors to the players right onto the top of the front office. I think he was very condencending & full of himself. I also feel it would be highly unlikely that Hughes signs here if Marrone stayed. I really don't think too many people within the organization were sad to see Marrone go. The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I thought that was the Sabres. Or is that just how many they've scored this season? Badum-ch. That was gonna be Ville Leino's slogan last year, but he didn't earn it.
