YoloinOhio Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 @CecilLammey: The 2 teams with the most interest in Colorado State QB Garrett Grayson (at this time) are the #Browns and the #Bills #BillsMafia #NFLDraft @RyanTalbotBills: LRT: It's been rumored that Grayson is Buffalo's No. 3 QB in this class. #BillsMafia
kota Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Could be. I heard on Sirius that he had a nice pro day. Scouts reported quicker release than expected and great arm strength. He is also known for pocket presence, feeling the rush and he came from a pro style offense. In his highlights he shows touch on the ball, the ability to throw the deep ball, and he throws receivers open. Wouldn't be upset that they draft him. Only issue is that the Bills spent a 5th rounder on Cassel, paid Tyrod Taylor, and EJ is only in year 3. Can you carry 4 QB's?
YoloinOhio Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 Cecil Lammey covers the Denver Broncos but sees a lot of csu and had this to say fwiw @CecilLammey: @K1NGDAN I like the way he uses his eyes to manipulate the defense, best QB at Sr Bowl this year, good under pressure, needs motion work
Doc Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Taylor isn't making much (about $1.1M a year). But you can bet the house that the Browns will take Grayson with their 12th pick in the 2nd round, if he's not gone sooner.
Lurker Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Can you carry 4 QB's? Well, since E.J. is getting released this spring, it shouldn't be a problem...
kota Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 He has the same height and close to the same weight of a certain QB out of Greenbay. He slings the ball pretty good.
Doc Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Well, since E.J. is getting released this spring, it shouldn't be a problem... No, EJ was released on the 2nd day of FA.
kota Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 No, EJ was released on the 2nd day of FA. Bills must have resigned him on "the cheap" so they say. He will be the starting QB this year and will SHOCK THE WORLD AS THE MVP of the SUPERBOWL.
DukeyBomb Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) They flipped a couple of picks in this years draft and gave up a 7th rounder in 2016 draft for Cassel I thought.... Not a 5th. Edited March 30, 2015 by DukeyBomb
Kirby Jackson Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Could be. I heard on Sirius that he had a nice pro day. Scouts reported quicker release than expected and great arm strength. Only issue is that the Bills spent a 5th rounder on Cassel, paid Tyrod Taylor, and EJ is only in year 3. Can you carry 4 QB's? I would think that Cassel would be safe. He is the "veteran QB" that every team feels they need. There would be a 4 person battle for the starting QB job with 2 of EJ, Grayson and Tyrod filling out the QB group.
xsoldier54 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 They flipped a couple of picks in this years draft and gave up a 7th rounder in 2016 draft for Cassel I thought.... Not a 5th. They gave up their first pick in round five and got Minnesota's 6th rounder in return. They also gave up a 7th rounder next year.
YoloinOhio Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 They flipped a couple of picks in this years draft and gave up a 7th rounder in 2016 draft for Cassel I thought.... Not a 5th.they gave up a 5th this year and a 7th next year for Cassel and a 6th this year. I think.
CountryCletus Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I wouldn't be upset about this! EJ could pan out this year and make the pick seem foolish, but a solid looking developmental prospect for a franchise that hasn't had solid and reliable play from the QB position in YEARS shouldn't ever be considered foolish! especially when it appears that the rest of the roster is relatively stable
Beerball Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Well, since E.J. is getting released this spring, it shouldn't be a problem... He was already released on the second day of FA. No, EJ was released on the 2nd day of FA. dammit Doc!
John from Riverside Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 If Whaley thinks that Grayson might be the answer at QB...then draft him
YoloinOhio Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 If browns really want him they could take him at 43.
YoloinOhio Posted March 30, 2015 Author Posted March 30, 2015 (edited) Here is a link to video of him throwing at Gruden's qb camp. http://m.espn.go.com/general/video?vid=12557908&src=desktop&rand=ref~%7B%22ref%22%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Ft.co%2FCaNyAbVZNi%22%7D Edited March 30, 2015 by YoloinOhio
jr1 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 His completion percentage got better every year. Worth a shot
