maddenboy
Funny, but correct (I suppose) that Namath is number 1 in New Jersey. But not in New York.
fridge
Am I missing something? Nothing Bills related in that article. Â Also, where are the stats supporting the article? Vince Carter is the most popular throwback jersey sale in the state of Connecticut. That doesn't seem possible at all. The Real Buffalo Joe
This is why I hate sharing a state with NYC. They over power us in any poll like that. Only thing we won is the most googled team per state, and that's only because the Jets and Giants cancelled one another out.

The Real Buffalo Joe
I don't get Johnny U. in Indy. He never played there. That's before they had the team, and Johnny hated the Indy Colts. Refused to have anything to do with them. Â After Robert Irsay moved the Colts franchise to Indianapolis in 1984, a move reviled to this day in Baltimore as "Bob Irsay's Midnight Ride," Unitas was so outraged that he cut all ties to the relocated team (though his #19 jersey is still retired by the Colts). Other prominent old-time Colts followed his lead. He asked the Pro Football Hall of Fame on numerous occasions to remove his display unless it was listed as belonging to the Baltimore Colts. Chandler#81
I'd love to have a Namath jersey! I've always been a Bills fan but he single-handily brought credence to our League. Also, an OJ Home jersey...
BuffalothruMyVeins
I think I'm a little slow this morning... I was confused why Antoine Winfield was the leading vote-getter in Maine... Â ... Not that Dave Winfield makes much more sense, but he's at least a hall of famer. For Maine, though, I would think it would be something like Yaz or Teddy Ballgame. Mango
Yeah, but that's only because the Jets and Giants cancel each other out. So what, NYC and metro NY are account for more than half the population of the state. Western NY accounts for about 15% of the state (2.5 mil) a little less actually. Splitting just NYC (8.5 mil)alone just about doubles WNY in raw numbers. Just by local populations 4.25 mil to 2.5 mil, and that's if each team gets optimal fan bases. It still means, if that works out, Buffalo dominates the rest of the state.
