Hammered a Lot Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Why do I find it amusing that it will " stand on the Northwest corner near the team store", gift shop??? So he can watch the Ralph Wilson JR stadium being built next to the Ralph Wilson stadium
Kirby Jackson Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I think it's a legit question. Is the Ralph going to stay once they build a new stadium or will it get torn down and replaced with a Wegman's? If it's going to stay why not keep the statue there? My guess is that they will move it to the new stadium. I am thinking that there will be some sort of Bills HOF/museum there. It could even be some sort of Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. The Ralph statue will be prominently featured around there IMO.
Cereal Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 There's already a statue of the French Connection outside the arena. And when I was home, there was another statue near the 716. Tim Horton I think? Yep, http://www.buffalonews.com/gusto/art/advertisement-or-not-tim-horton-statue-adds-to-waterfront-landscape-20141030 kinda curious who will make the statue.. Their was a former player named MIKE HAMBY who is a excellent sculptor. At one point his statue of two charging buffalo was in consideration to be built in scale proportion at the RALPH ,I believe JIM KELLY has the bronze original. I think its name "I ST AND TEN"?I lways thought that it would look great at the stadium front ...broncos have something like that at their stadium but with horses . Here's the article again.... http://www.buffalonews.com/gusto/art/advertisement-or-not-tim-horton-statue-adds-to-waterfront-landscape-20141030 a design team spearheaded by Pegula Sports and Entertainment Executive VP of Creative Services Frank Cravotta.
