truth on hold Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 A Ryanair flight from Riga in Latvia to Dublin had to make an emergency landing in Denmark after a drunken passenger took off his shirt and began hitting cabin walls. In amazing video footage, the man can be seen standing with his shirt off at the rear of the plane, stumbling around, flexing his muscles and making strange grunting noises. He then begins to punch the cabin walls before leaning onto the seats of other passengers. http://www.irishcentral.com/news/Drunken-passenger-forces-Ryanair-flight-to-make-emergency-landing.html?utm_source=outbrain&utm_medium=content&utm_campaign=paid
dib Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I am a white knuckle flyer. Anybody starts that crap on a flight I'm on and I'll be the last thing he sees on this planet
plenzmd1 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Couple of things here 1) That dude was most likely liquored up before he got on. PLus prolly bought his own on board as Ryan is Spirit of Europe.. 2) Cant belive US carriers have not started selling advertising on the overheads, brilliant Ryan. I have been on some planes recently with adverts on the tray tables however. Even more brilliant as your staring at it the whole time. 3) I must be getting older as i no longer ignore stuff that happens around me. I cant believe how long it took for someone to intervene...i wouls have grabbed a couple of guys and said c'mon as soon as that dude was punching the walls. Edited March 25, 2015 by plenzmd1
Marv's Neighbor Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 He didn't get that wasted between Latvia and Denmark. Likely had a good head start, and should never have been boarded in the first place, or he was drinking from his own supply, rather than what the Airline was serving.. The Airlines sell drinks because it is very profitable to do so. If that wasn't true, they would have gone the way all of other previously available "services." They also have the right to not serve anyone. Those buffet carts are very heavy when they're empty. Once they are loaded, they are even heavier. Weight uses fuel and extra weight uses extra fuel. If it were not profitable to drag those heavy carts around, they would have been gone years ago.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Probably the only thing they had when planes were invented. We have much better drugs now. Just knock the whole passenger cargo out and wake them up when the plane lands.

truth on hold Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 That's what they make Demerol for. Sorry Joe! ;-P If the flatulence bothers them, they can use the oxygen masks. No need for drugs or alcohol
Chef Jim Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 And if they stopped serving booze on planes not biggie. I just bring the small bottles in my carryon and ask for a coke or five like I do now.

mead107 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Joe likes the part of guy taking off shirt. Got him excited. Edited March 25, 2015 by mead107

ExiledInIllinois Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Zero. You can't bring any liquid? What's the 4oz rule then?
Chef Jim Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 You can't bring any liquid? What's the 4oz rule then? It's 3oz.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 (edited) It's 3oz. Oh. That's at least a legal shot (2oz. shot) and a half... Forget it, I guess that's like trying to cure cancer with an aspirin! Edited March 26, 2015 by ExiledInIllinois
Chef Jim Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Oh. That's at least a legal shot (2oz. shot) and a half... Forget it, I guess that's like trying to cure cancer with an aspirin! Those mini bottles are 50ml which is about 1.5oz so you can carry on as many of those you want.
ExiledInIllinois Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Those mini bottles are 50ml which is about 1.5oz so you can carry on as many of those you want. Oh... I thought it was total... Well, that's cool!!!!!
Chef Jim Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Oh... I thought it was total... Well, that's cool!!!!! No 3oz each if sealed. At least that's my understanding. I've carried at least 5 through TSA. Hey, it's a long flight to NY from CA.
