YoloinOhio Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Whaley: Offensive line a 'loss' in otherwise winning offseason for Bills @viccarucci: Doug Whaley not happy #Bills didn't do more to address OL: http://t.co/0YBcGeTMEf Edited March 25, 2015 by YoloinOhio
PromoTheRobot Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Ugh. How many years of this? Uhhhh, we took three lineman last draft. It's not like the position has been ignored.
YoloinOhio Posted March 25, 2015 Author Posted March 25, 2015 I'm sure he wishes they would have been able to get Bulaga or one of the big ticket FAs they wanted, but I think the line will be improved by the time they play a game.
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'd take a look at Jake Long to take over the RT position. I know he's had injury issues but what do we have to lose?
Rockinon Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 According to ROTOWorld, there's still some guards and tackles in FA market. Problem is the Bills don't have much cap space left. Wonder if the restructuring of Cassel's contract is about this or resigning Spikes or what?
Rivermont Mike Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Is it possible that this line is more suited to a man block scheme instead of zone blocking? Are they better suited for old-fashioned north-south blocking? Edited March 25, 2015 by Rivermont Mike
Coach Tuesday Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Uhhhh, we took three lineman last draft. It's not like the position has been ignored. And Whaley is lamenting that he couldn't aquire upgrades to those draftees.
Rockinon Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Is it possible that this line is more suited to a man block scheme instead of zone blocking? Are they better suited for old-fashioned north-south blocking? Could be. Got some big boys.
FireChan Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Uhhhh, we took three lineman last draft. It's not like the position has been ignored. Are you confusing effort with results?
jimmy10 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 OMG THE SEASON STARTS TOMORROW WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO??
Mr. WEO Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Maybe he should voice his displeasure over this to the #Bills GM...
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 We are just going to need to luck out in the draft and get a solid guard who can start right away.
bowery4 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Am I the only one? Does Doug look stoned, like all the time. And he wears sunglasses a lot.
AllDayADay Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Am I the only one? Does Doug look stoned, like all the time. And he wears sunglasses a lot. Hahaha. I never really thought about that but it might be a good point. He also seems like he has some anxiety at the mic.
Lurker Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 While they would have to move cap dollars around (i.e., restructure Eric Wood, cut Chris Williams after June 1), they could probably take on another veteran contract if someone came available. This may be just Whaley's way of getting the word out to other teams that he's open for business...
johnwalter Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 just makes me like whaley more. also make me worry rex / pegula had too much control.
norton20 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'm disappointed too. Draft an OT and OG so at least there is more competition. Maybe they'll get lucky and have some useful lineman get cut in June.
jimmy10 Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I remain confident that at least one of those three guys drafted last year will get coached up by the new staff and surprise this year.
White Linen Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 OMG THE SEASON STARTS TOMORROW WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?? C'mon man it's a legitimate concern.
