buffaloboyinATL Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Any diamonds in thorough on this list? Could this be the place to find a Guard? Can Tyler Wilson get another shot at QB. Should be at least a couple of guys on this list who stand out. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000478211/article/nfl-to-host-inaugural-veteran-combine
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Will Michael Sam attend or is he too busy dancing?
Kirby Jackson Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I would keep my eyes open on the OL, LB and S prospects. Maybe you can find a back up or 2?
Jamie Nails Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Marcus "Who you doubt in?" Dowtin. Wasn't he Rex's boy that we signed a few years back when Pettine came over?
RyanC883 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I would keep my eyes open on the OL, LB and S prospects. Maybe you can find a back up or 2? Dan Fox? Mike Golic? Aaron Berry? Will it be on TV?
buffaloboyinATL Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Will Michael Sam attend or is he too busy dancing?he is supposedly attending and is being talked up on NFLN.Will it be on TV?Yes, Sunday night at 8 on NFLN
billsfan89 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I love this concept. With the cap and high turnover rates a lot of veteran players who want to play and might be able to contribute will actually get some sort of platform to showcase what they have and try to get a contract.
Beef Jerky Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Will Michael Sam attend or is he too busy dancing? He will be there... But he would need steroids to even get good enough to be on a team. Marcus "Who you doubt in?" Dowtin. Wasn't he Rex's boy that we signed a few years back when Pettine came over? I don't think he was Rex's boy... The Jets brought him in as a UDFA. So he never even got drafted.
BillsFanMike Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 (edited) Marcus Dowtin looked like he could play when he had a chance. I was surprised when we cut him. I think he'd be a great depth player for us. Edited March 20, 2015 by BillsFanMike
buffaloboyinATL Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Saddest Show on Earth..... According to Matt Birk, NFL Director of Football Development, they had over 2,000 applicants to participate and had to narrow the list down to 100. He claims that plenty of players were upset to not be included in the event. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000480071/article/matt-birk-talks-about-lead-in-to-first-veteran-combine

These guys are desperate to play again.
White Linen Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 How is Michael Sam considered a veteran? Out of over 2,000 applicants that had to be narrowed to 100 - he deserves the opportunity?
Chandler#81 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 So.. No QB's eh? We gotta turn over every rock! Sure I hope Manuel wow's us -or Tyrod is the second coming of Kaepernik -or Cassle is the next Earl Morral - but until that can be witnessed, I fear this deadly collection of superior offensive players will never really threaten.. Does the CFL have something like this??
Matteboots Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Where is JP Losman? I wanted to get a look at that guy. I heard he's got a great arm!
DJasper Probincrux III Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 How many former Bills on that list? Torrell Troup Manese Foketi Marcus Dowtin Lonnie Pryor Kip Edwards Brandon Burton anyone else? Adam Carriker is interesting if he's healthy.
