With Ralph it was well vodka, with TP it's top shelf bottle service...

Only some one that has tended bar would use the term "well vodka".

Cape Cod...good choice

+1

Not even every bartender knows what they're called - which I've always found odd. Right near the top of my favorites.

Properly pronounced "Cape Coddah" btw! ;)

My go to cocktail right now is an Old Fashioned. Not muddled, no adding any sugar cube or simple syrup.

  • 3 Splashes of Angostura Bitters in a lowball glass (if you can't taste it in the final drink you didn't add enough)
  • Add 1 Cherry (no stem)
  • 2-3 Ounces of Whisky, Rye or Bourbon (I usually use Canadian Club)
  • Stir everything together
  • Add 3 ice cubes
  • Garnish with a half-moon orange slice inside the drink
