Mr. WEO Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 24 years old..... strong arm, can throw the ball with some accuracy and has impressive athleticism for his size. But the skills he lacks are more important to his success in the NFL. As mentioned, he struggles when faced with pressure and has hardly shown the ability to keep his eyes down the field and reset his feet to make an accurate throw. His deep accuracy is shoddy at best, he doesn't read the entire field and he fails to throw the ball with anticipation. EJ's re-entering the draft?
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Not at 50. Briles is crazy if he thinks Petty's going Round 1. Round 3 - sure.
4BillsintheBurgh Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm not sure I would bother with a qb this year unless it's in the 5th or greater. I wouldn't mind trading for an additional first next year to have the ammo to move up and get someone. Even if it means giving up the 2nd this year.
The Big Cat Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Well, we have four QB's on our roster now. Using our first pick on another would be among the dumbest things they could do.

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Nooooooooo. Look, I'm not saying EJ is the answer but I'm pretty sure it isn't replacing a project QB with 14 starts with a project QB with zero.

Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 No QB before round 3 please Address OL first CBF
I'm Spartacus Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Maybe Joe Licatta from UB will declare early?

K D Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Maybe Joe Licatta from UB will declare early? declare for the CFL?
Chuck Wagon Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 i love Connor Cook. He's would be my top choice. Also there will be Cardale Jones, Christian Hackenburg, and Cody Kessler. That class looks better than this one.
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I wasn't a big fan of Petty before and I didn't even realize he is about to be 24 already. That offense makes QBs. My prediction: the new Baylor Qb will put up monster numbers. Same with Texas A & M, see how Johnny Rehab looks in the NFL. The talent of teams like Baylor and Texas A&M are the head coaches. Also, if the Bills are really interested, unless they are super dumb, they would keep that interest as quiet as possible. i love Connor Cook. He's would be my top choice. Also there will be Cardale Jones, Christian Hackenburg, and Cody Kessler. Man, people love Cook. An under 60% passer in a 3 team Big 10 worries me a bit.

Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Nooooooooo. Look, I'm not saying EJ is the answer but I'm pretty sure it isn't replacing a project QB with 14 starts with a project QB with zero. Some projects develop while others don't. It's not "one size fits all." And EJ's size is a small.
