Dareus - $100+ Million?

I like Suh and Dareus but they aren't worth QB money. Miami made a big mistake.

Agreed. That's 15-16 sack a season numbers. That should be looked at just like Mario. There is nothing you can do as a dt to justify receiving that kind of money. Will also be interesting to see the run defense without spikes

Forgive me for starting a new thread around a similar topic, but with ALL the signings this offseason (Kyle Williams included) I just don't see how there is enough resource to go around to retaining Dareus next year.

I'd rather NO Clay and NO extension to Kyle Williams to keep Mr. BIG Stuff.

Thoughts?

Some thing will suffer in Bills camp . I don't know enough about this TE Clay but he had better be something really good for that kind of cash !!

The only way i see the Bills keeping Dareus is if next year they take Mario's , Kyle's & Clays contracts & renegotiate them to be able to keep him , unless they can get a hoss in the draft this year to replace him ..

Because they can't pay out the kind of money they are & keep the band together ...

This is an incorrect statement. Look into the cap numbers and how these deals are being structured. There's plenty of room to sign Dareus to the deal he's going to command (and will deserve) as well as keeping Gilmore, Glenn and Bradham.

Things are fine cap wise, even with Clay's deal.

They haven't had to restructure Mario, so that will be next season most likely

Exactly, if not sooner. The entire national media isn't used to seeing the Bills being this aggressive and frankly don't know how to report on the story other than to assume it's going to blow up in their faces -- if not on the field then financially speaking. It's almost as if the national guys still haven't figured out that the change in ownership was more than ceremonial. It's kind of hilarious to read.
