Lurker Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 overall I think DW is doing a good job building this roster. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000479677/article/charles-clay-signs-offer-sheet-with-buffalo-bills "Buffalo's quarterback situation may be up in the air, but this is one of the most talented teams in football on both sides of the ball."
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 @AlbertBreer: Smart of Bills to inflate Clay's 2016 cap number. Suh's cap charge for '16 is $28.6 million. And Tannehill's '16 option costs $16.2 million. Can't they just restructure those deals?
TPS Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 DW is on fire. Christ this is fun!was just thinking it's been great theater! Let's hope the regular season is this much fun!
Big Turk Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Can't they just restructure those deals? You can only burn both ends of the candle for so long...they will just keep making a very bad cap problem worse
Augie Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Does this mean I can get out of Terry and Kim's bushes? No, wait right there.... security is on the way.
DrDawkinstein Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Ahhh, I love that New Thread Smell! No poll on whether we think Clay is going to sign though?
flomoe Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Thank you Terry Warbucks for finally giving this fanbase something it's never had.....Deep Pockets I'm not saying Ralph never ponied up but the up front cash was always a sticking point and a hindrance overall ever since Free Agency started back in the nineties. Good ole Ralph had enough cash on hand to swing a big deal here and there but nothing like what we've seen this spring.
The BLUES Brothers Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So, I take an hour break from the board and then the news hits. Unbelievable. I had to laugh since it happened to me too... Just in from a little after work fun and Happy to see the Progress! If this works out - I will always associate St. Patrick's Day with Clay-Watch 2015! I have been glued All The Time too ~ On Two Bills Dive constantly (seen all of the 40+ pages), listening to WGR constantly from here in Rochester and listening on NFL stations while traveling last Wed-Friday in NY, MA and CT on Sirius constantly. Please sit back down dolphin fans (all 86 of you regulars in the sun life stadium) ... Thanks Mr. Whaley, Coach Rex and Cheers My Bills Brother Fans - & Go Bills!!
Kirby Jackson Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 What about Pistol Pete Metzelaars??? He had some nice seasons and was a better version of the "big" TE Chandler was supposed to be. He is big red. He was pretty good but not great.
BobbyC81 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 He has over 4300 posts. I am pretty sure he is being funny. Didn't TPS create this site?
BaaadThingsMan Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 None of the Internet hacks were talking crap on Clay before the Bills made an offer. Now that they have he's this, he's that, it's too much, the Bills had to overpay blah blah. All of them can SUCK it, the Bills are loaded for bear, bring it !@#$ers!
GG Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 @AlbertBreer: Smart of Bills to inflate Clay's 2016 cap number. Suh's cap charge for '16 is $28.6 million. And Tannehill's '16 option costs $16.2 million. Like that wasn't a blaring billboard before Breer noticed it?
The Poojer Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! None of the Internet hacks were talking crap on Clay before the Bills made an offer. stevewin Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Count me as one of those who have been obsessively checking for a week then take a 2 hr break and the news comes... Could it be, the long Bills nation nightmare over? I'll believe it when the ink is dry.
DJasper Probincrux III Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 So, this off-season thing....apparently it can be a pretty good time, eh? Doug Marrone walked away from this?
26TrapDraw Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 One more hole filled. On to the nextThat's what she said heyoooo
Wings and Beer Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I'm pumped by our moves this offseason, and thrilled by the cherry on top (sticking it to Miami). However, how does this upfront money effect our ability to resign next year's free agents, specifically Dareus? Salary Cap experts, coach me up...how do we stand?
