John from Riverside Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have thought that too. We would be an easy playoff team with him too-- he is a notch above Cassel. I have heard people say this is true...and I have heard people say it isnt true I guess we will see
Deranged Rhino Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I have heard people say this is true...and I have heard people say it isnt true I guess we will see There's no accounting for a fully functioning set of testicles, something Orton lacked.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Am I the only one that is not enamoured with this signing? Yep. You a big gragg guy or something ?
IDBillzFan Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) There's no accounting for a fully functioning set of testicles, something Orton lacked. I'm not so much concerned Orton lacked testicular functionality so much as confidence in the playcalling designed to get him killed. He was more than happy to stand in the pocket to make throws in the beginning, but then something stopped, and I saw less desire to stand tall and more desire to lay down so he could live to collect his money. DDD Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Am I the only one that is not enamoured with this signing? No you are not. I'm getting a Larry Triplett-Derrick Dockery kind of feeling on this one.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Man, I don't know. Orton looked pretty bad toward the end of the season. He was flat out awful in the Miami game IIRC. Given his good start, I wonder if he just lost his arm. Good time for him to hang it up. I feel like Marrone coached him down to play like garbage.
mikemac2001 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I feel like Marrone coached him down to play like garbage. Thats how I felt and why he retired and started to play bad He was over playing for a coach who just wanted him to keep the game close Feel like he did that to ej and he was so confused with what to do

I still contend that he got Marrone'd, which neutered him, and he lost a lot of fire. I started saying it a little after halfway through the season, and it got worse and worse as the season went on.
UpperDeck Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Bills have officially announced it. Done deal! WOOHOO! This calls for another Clay thread.
beerme1 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 No you are not. I'm getting a Larry Triplett-Derrick Dockery kind of feeling on this one. That's the worst thing I've read all day that isn't Sabres related. I also think it's flat out wrong. This guy can and will play.

beerme1 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 the Sabres-related thing I keep seeing is clay = Ville Leino Congrats Yolo. That IS the worst thing I've read all day lol.

I started saying it a little after halfway through the season, and it got worse and worse as the season went on. I'm increasingly curious how much of Marrone's personality neutered players. Noone ever gave me a reason for holding out Hughes at one point. Or the whole Mike Williams thing. Stuff that just never made immediate sense to me.

Much more of a gunslinger. You could see his whole game and dynamic change as the season progressed. In the end, he was playing basically not to throw interceptions.

Both of them started out decently, then turtled fairly rapidly. The big difference is that it took EJ about three games to really fear for his life, whereas Orton lasted 5 or six.

You could see his whole game and dynamic change as the season progressed. In the end, he was playing basically not to throw interceptions. I thought this was highlighted in the Raiders game. After we were down by a chunk, the metaphoric shackles seemed to come off and Orton had a string of plays where he ran around, avoided sacks and made plays. I remember thinking....where was this the last 8 games?
K D Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 i was searching through zillow as i sometimes do and i found a nice house for Clay. i wonder if this is one of the ones he looked at when he was here: http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/30-Brownstone-Ct-East-Amherst-NY-14051/84096675_zpid/ looks like it either is or was Eric Moulds' house. i'm guessing someone bought it and is trying to flip it. it shows it was bought it 2013 for just under $1 mil and now they have the "make me move" set to $2 mil
Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Wow only $2M for that kind a house? Last bought for $990K? Wow CBF
