Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 But we still have to wait 5 days? Or does Miami saying they choose not to match allow him to join our team right away? CBF
johnnywo Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 His momma named him Cassius, Ima call'em Cassius. ....damn worng Clay. GO BILLS
DrDawkinstein Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 But we still have to wait 5 days? Or does Miami saying they choose not to match allow him to join our team right away? CBF That part.
nucci Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 But we still have to wait 5 days? Or does Miami saying they choose not to match allow him to join our team right away? CBF Miami has to inform the league office to make it official. As soon as they do Clay is a Bill
Jamie Nails Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I bet Clay was on Air Pegula yesterday. Joint Harvin/Clay presser today or tomorrow?
NoSaint Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 But we still have to wait 5 days? Or does Miami saying they choose not to match allow him to join our team right away? CBF again, simply telling a reporter means nothing - once they file paperwork, or the clock expires, it will be done. it sounds like its pretty darn close to done though, if not already.

I would imagine all they have to do is fax a note to the league office. Maybe even just rescind the tag like they could have at any time. It probably takes five minutes. In order for it to be officially official the league would have to study the contract itself, but they may have already. Not sure. Edited March 19, 2015 by Kelly the Dog

Not sure. id assume, which is always risky, that once filed with the league they got on it fast -- that way if there were any issues they could inform us and the dolphins who were deciding what to do. At this point its probably a very quick fax, like you said.

Hopefully they don't use Darcy's fax machine

nucci Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 http://share.gifyoutube.com/Kzeb7P.gif Very similar to Chandler.
The Wiz Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Scan and e-mail? They are going to print it out anyways. They probably have 6 hard copies of the contract and 2 electronic backups.
Chandler#81 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I can finally exhale! We have a bona fide Tight End!
YoloinOhio Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 They are going to print it out anyways. They probably have 6 hard copies of the contract and 2 electronic backups. Will we get the pic of him sitting at some FO guy's desk at OBD in his suit signing the contract? Or did that already take place with the offer sheet? Very similar to Chandler.
Wayne Cubed Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 http://share.gifyoutube.com/Kzeb7P.gif oh c'mon Kelly, insert it properly
