BuffaloFan68 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I keep seeing these projected drafts that have Mariotta going outside the top 10, you've got to question these guys - I say there's no way he makes it past Washington at 5.
Special K Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Can we add Terry & Kim's bank account to this list? IMO, this is the most important addition to the team by far.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I think we should be able to get a starting guard at 50 Sure, I think a lot hinges on the acquisition of Clay or not
r00tabaga Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 A healthy Chris Williams negates the need for guard at #50. He will be a much better fit in our new OL scheme. BPA in rd 2.

How so? I haven't seen much in the way of mobility from him to get to the second level to block. I just don't see what he adds to Roman's offense other than size. Wasn't he one of the worst rated guards the season before last with the Rams? I wouldn't put much hope in him all of the sudden becoming a good guard in his 7th season.

Bleed Bills Blue Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Can we add Terry & Kim's bank account to this list? Ralph had the means, but not the desire. He preferred Monet to Lombardi. Still, he has my everlasting gratitude for his gift of the Bills to all of us.
Chandler#81 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 In the midst of free agency I wanted to stop and take inventory of what has happened so far this year with the Bills' roster: Additions: ----------- LeSean McCoy -- RB (trade) Jerome Felton -- FB (free agent) Richie Incognito -- OG (free agent) Matt Cassel -- QB (trade) Tyrod Taylor -- QB (free agent) Percy Harvin -- WR/KR (free agent) Charles Clay -- TE (pending/free agent) Subtractions: --------------- Kiko Alonso -- LB (trade) Da'Norris Searcy -- S (free agent) Erik Pears -- tub 'o goo (free agent) Scott Chandler -- TE (released) CJ Spiller -- RB (free agent) Chris Hairston -- OL (not signed) Lee Smith -- TE (free agent) Kyle Orton -- QB (retired) Brandon Spikes -- LB (pending/free agent) Re-signed/Extended: ----------------------- Jerry Hughes -- DL/LB (re-signed) Marcus Easley -- WR/ST (re-signed) Jarius Wynn -- DT (re-signed) Jordan Gay -- KO specialist (re-signed) Chris Hogan -- WR/ST (re-signed) Kyle Williams -- DT (extended) ----------------- Pretty active front office, I'd say, and almost overwhelmingly favorable. Did I miss anyone? (Edited to list re-signed/extended as its own section) I don't know E, seeing it laid out like this, we've lost 7 starters and added only 3 (3+?). Just 2 of re-signs are starters.. I'm as excited as everyone to see Shady & Felton play, but, overall from last season's winning club, we're down a few..

The only hole created by the Bills' transactions thus far is at TE, and that goes away if they land Clay.
Lurker Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Ralph had the means, but not the desire. No way, no how did Ralph have the liquidity that Pegs had. Ralph's weath was all illiquid assets like ownership of the Bills franchise and his other business holdings...not like the $4 billion in cash like Pegs got when he sold his energy compant to Shell...

All I Need is Hope Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Considering coaching upgrades, I think overall we're slightly better. The Bills always "win" the off season... we'll see if it translates to better than 9-7. I'm hopeful that Roman can build an offensive system and schemes that can take advantage of all these playmakers... and effectively manage through the growing pains from all of the change (personnel, personalities, system). The unknowns like T. Taylor, EJ with different (better coaching), Cassel's ability to be a little above ok are what make me hopeful.

eball Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 Edited to remove "pending" from Clay. Pin this thread perhaps?
Kelly the Dog Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I cannot believe there would be anyone unhappy with what Whaley and Rex are doing with this team. I do surely understand anyone wanting them to spend more money on the OL instead of skill players though, too. I think we still add one OL starter who is not on the roster now before September. But wow. This is fun. Hughes we needed to re-sign. Shady is one of the elite backs in the league. Felton is one of the best FBs in the league. Harvin is one of the best slot WR and returners in the league. Clay is one of the best all around TEs in the league. Incognito is one of the best bullies in the league. We don't have a franchise QB, everyone knows that. Not sure who else we could have got who is better than Cassell and a #3 with potential in Taylor.
BobChalmers Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) We don't have a franchise QB, everyone knows that. Not sure who else we could have got who is better than Cassell and a #3 with potential in Taylor. Honestly, I think Fitz > Cassell and I'd rather have Matt Moore than either of them. Having said that, I believe EJ will emerge and silence most of the critics this year, so I'm not worried about QB beyond the obvious "it would be nice to have Rogers or Luck" nonsense.
