BmarvB Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 With all the wheeling and dealing for offensive help, it's still going to come down to the QB. Can EJ develop into a capable QB to get us to the playoffs with a better coaching staff in place? Will Cassel be the steady veteran backup to help him along, or will he have to get under center and take us to the playoffs? Will Taylor beat out Tuel for the #3 spot?, Does Tuel even have a chance of making the roster now? What do you think?
Chuck Wagon Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Cassel starts the season, plays OK but not great and has us around 4-4 before getting hurt. Taylor comes in instead of EJ and lights the NFL on fire, finishing the season 6-2.
Andrew Son Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I think it will be Cassel. Veteran guy to make the right decision and get the ball to the play makers, don't need anything spectacular. And he's a good leader
BmarvB Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 I'm hoping it's EJ, but Cassel does have the experience edge, and that's what this offense needs right now. We'll see come training camp.
K-9 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 EJ is gonna leave Cassel in the dust at OTAs, mini-camp, camp, and pre-season games. It's a race to see who's runnerup and I'm not counting out Taylor. GO BILLS!!!
filthymcnasty08 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I hope it's Tyrod I fear it's not EJ I know it's Cassel

BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Whether it's Tyrod or EJ, but moreso Tyrod, we will be fielding a ridiculously fast Offense in 2015
BrooklynBills Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I hope it's Tyrod I fear it's not EJ I know it's Cassel This is very true.
The Jokeman Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I hope it's EJ. I think it will be Cassel. I will cry if it's Tyrod. I will cry harder if it's a QB taken at pick 50.
White Linen Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 There's no doubt in my mind that each player is on level ground. I think it's the Seattle approach and no matter what any preconceived thoughts are - whoever wins the job gets the job. I believe EJ will emerge and play very well for us this year. The nice thing is you can clearly see the game plan. Run the ball - surround the QB with such exceptional talent that it's not on his shoulders to make plays where there isn't one - athletic short yardage specialists that create long plays instead of having to throw long to have a big play - take care of the ball.
TakeYouToTasker Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I'm supposing that the brass wants Tyrod and EJ to battle it out, and have a true number one emerge in camp and preseason. Cassel is the safety net who will win the role by default if neither Tyrod nor EJ demonstrate that they can be "the guy".

billsfan89 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I think EJ will turn it around if the team can get a good O-line together.
BetterNextYearRight? Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I think EJ will win out, the front office still wants him to and I'm willing to bet the new scheme fits him better, EJ can be a lot like Kaepernick, has a very similar skill set. If they let EJ loose on the play action with Harvin, Watkins and McCoy on the field he will almost always have the option of running the ball. I've been very pessimistic about the offense past few seasons (under 25th), but if we pick up another G and TE I expect top 20 easy.
K-9 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 There's a better than even chance that Tuel won't even make it to camp. GO BILLS!!!
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I love that Cassel is considered the "safe choice" when his last 4 years, he has thrown more ints than tds. There is no upside in stating Cassel. None.

That would come with playing and experience. I still hope he earns the starting spot.

r00tabaga Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 If its 27TD 7INT Cassel, then #16. I hope its EJ & he lets it rip.
