This is probably the best explanation. Basically, you are just accelerating all bonuses in the first year vs. amortizing the amount over multiple years.

This is worth the read on how the jet sweep makes Harvin so dangerous http://t.co/z7mCQnjyqI

Interesting that Matt Cassel is the guy under center on that Jet Sweep handing off to Corarrelle Patterson. And Percy in the Seahawks offense running a sweep is pretty cool too.

I guess cash-to-cap has gone the way of the dinosaur in Pegulaville. This is the kind of stuff other teams do..not the Bills. New World Order baby!

So it's basically like nothing he's ever been able to do. Cash to the cap etc.

C2C is rarely if ever restrictive....is only used as a general guideline....and is used by a majority of NFL teams(with the Bills possibly still using it).

According to this(and I am unsure just how up to date it is.....wouldn't include Clay...maybe not Harvin).....the Bills have spent only $130M in cash this season: http://overthecap.com/cash-spending

Considering that the cap is $143M, the Bills will be at worst even with regards to C2C this season.

@mikerodak: Here are Percy Harvins cap numbers, from what Im told: $4M (2015), $10M (2016), $10M (2017). 16 and 17 voidable/no deadline listed.

@mikerodak: So, as has been mentioned by others, its likely that Harvin is back on the market next spring. Deal structure helps Bills 2015 cap.
