Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 1m1 minute ago The #Dolphins are trading for WR Kenny Stills, giving back to the #Saints Dannell Ellerbe and a third round pick, source said. Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia 21m21 minutes ago LRT: If that trade goes through, Dolphins vs. Bills is gonna be fun this year. Both have playoff-caliber rosters right now. Deranged Rhino Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 That frees up how much room for them to keep Clay, cap heads?
K D Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 That frees up how much room for them to keep Clay, cap heads? Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia 52s53 seconds ago Dannell Ellerbe carried a cap hit of $9.85 million this season. So, if Miami is trying to keep Charles Clay, that's a good start. #Bills
ddaryl Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 it frees up cap space they are now about $2 million in cap room
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Crap. That gives them a ton of cap room.
K D Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia 1m1 minute ago Ellerbe would save the Dolphins $5.65 million on the 2015 cap
mikemac2001 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Ya I just saw the cap savings might force saints to cut someone
K D Posted March 13, 2015 Author Posted March 13, 2015 Ya I just saw the cap savings might force saints to cut someone hopefully Jahri Evans!
ddaryl Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Crap. That gives them a ton of cap room. no they were about 3 mil in the hole before the trade they are now about 2 mil to the positive after draft picks if my quick math is correct
Rubes Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Now I get why the Bills keep waiting to send the offer to Clay...
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 The ebbs and flows of the reporting on Clay and what's likely to happen is making me sea sick. Quite frankly i'm at a point where I just want them to put in the offer and be done with it. Market is starting to dry up anyways.
mikemac2001 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Think they are waiting for every last move they can make Only one left is Wallace I think
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 no they were about 3 mil in the hole before the trade they are now about 2 mil to the positive after draft picks if my quick math is correct That's counting the money they already had tied up for Clay, and Cameron. Plus, they can cut Wallace after June 1 and save 6.9 as opposed to 2.5 and hold off on signing their first until after then, right?
BrooklynBills Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 They can designate him June 1 cut at anytime They can cut him at any time as a post June 1st designation so he can go find a job before training camp, but I don't think they see the cap savings until after June 1st.
mikemac2001 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 They can cut him at any time as a post June 1st designation so he can go find a job before training camp, but I don't think they see the cap savings until after June 1st. That could be true but I also believed they set it up where they would This would allow the team to spend more and also allow the players to sign sooner for more
boyst Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 These trades this year though.though what. You seemed to forget the rest of your sentence. What you said is a fragmant.
Big Turk Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Dolphins trying to do the Redskin free agent route again...they are going to go 8-8 again and have to blow up their roster next year due to salary cap hell
