Punch Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Trading offers? WTH? I thought it was a one-shot deal? I'm reading it as, the Bills have presented an offer sheet and the Dolphins have presented an extension.
Bills Fan in MD Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I'm sorry, but if Miami wants to have two high-paid TEs, neither of whom are named "Gronkowski" or "Graham," plus the huge cap numbers for Suh, Wallace, and Tannehil, I'm not sure that's necessarily a bad thing.

blargo Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) Why would you exchange offers with the ream you are trying to sign that player away from? CBF I think the offers are going though Clay and his agent. This just might be twitter word limit that makes wording unclear. Clay's agent could say we just got this from Miami without signing Bills offer and Bills then counteroffer. Thsi could go on until he signs one. Edited March 13, 2015 by blargo

Wallace might get traded or cut. They could run a 2 TE offense or use Clay as a H-back in the slot

Cameron is basically on a one year contract. They can do it for a year.
thebandit27 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I'm starting to worry about a Mike Wallace-for-Evan Mathis trade...
Punch Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Trading Mike Wallace wouldn't provide a great deal of relief, but, who knows: Spotrac@spotrac35 secs35 seconds ago Trading Mike Wallace: $6.6M in dead cap to the #Dolphins 3yr/$32.9M, $3M g'teed deal for the new team; new caps: 9.9/11.5/11.5 Unlikely.
DrDawkinstein Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I cant take this anymore! Friday Happy Hour, take me awaaaaaaaaaayyy!
Nanker Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 A gin and tonic is going to be especially good tonight. Why wait? Why would you exchange offers with the ream you are trying to sign that player away from? CBF Maybe if we trade them someone, they'll agree to drop match on this fiasco.
CNY315 Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) Miami wouldn't be making all these moves just for Clay, would they? Edited March 13, 2015 by CNY315
Dorkington Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 I'm thinking we're out at this point and putting it out of mind. Time to think about other TEs!
Punch Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 @AlbertBreer: Miami still wants Charles Clay - coaches envision using him & Jordan Cameron like Pats used to use Hernandez & Gronk.
John from Riverside Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 If Miami gets him....make it very uncomfortable for them financially....front load that offer!
BuffaloRebound Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 At this point, I don't even care if we get him, just make Miami cut a few more players in order to sign him.
