Rocky Landing Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Correct me if I'm wrong but... Could the Bills be looking at Grey as #2??? Clay Grey Graagg?? I personally think from what little we saw of him last season, that Grey is the real deal. He could end up our #1, in my unhinged opinion.
LedyardCTbillsfan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 He can play that flexible H-back role that Roman likes, I could see him as a #2 behind Clay if we land Clay.
billsfan960 Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 I remember fast..... 6 ft 4 240 ?? Big enough? Correct me if I'm wrong but... Could the Bills be looking at Grey as #2??? Sorry how can I change topic? Clay Grey Graagg??
mikemac2001 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Gragg is fastest te to run at combine I believe If gray was coming out this year he would be top 3 speed I think 4.7
Ontario51 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 He was impressive in the few chances he had. Looks like allot of muscle, pretty tough looking guy.
billieve420 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 This will be an extremely athletic group if we manage to sign Clay. The pieces are coming together just need to fix this o line and get some decent QB play from somewhere.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Hopefully he has put on some weight. They need a more in line option with Chandler gone IMO
Hapless Bills Fan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 No I think woods is still our 2 He's talking TE not WR He was impressive in the few chances he had. Looks like allot of muscle, pretty tough looking guy. He impressed me with his pass catching. What I didn't get a feel for is what he's like as a blocker. Anyone?
beastman Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 i hear people talk often about how impressed the are with grey, and im a litle puzzled. he had that one long gainer on a play where the defense had combusted and he blew down the field. i was cheering and high fiving my football buddy and we were wondering aloud "who the F is this guy?" then he had another decent deep catch and watched him plow a LB on a run play. the guy made some moves and seemed to be in the right place at right time but im not about to annoint him a potential superstar just yet. i like him and hope he continues to improve but i think the praise for him is a litte overhyped based mostly upon one long pass reception where the defense was caught sleeping.
Maybe Someday Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Guy has been on 4 teams in 2 years so I hope we're not counting on him being the #2 just yet. Granted he's got some athletic ability. I didn't realize he was a qb & wr in college so he is rather new to the position. I like pulling for the underdog and hope he can be a diamond in the rough but I hope we're not planning on throwing him into the fire without more options. Maury Ballstein Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Nope. Look at what the 49ers had at tight end. 1st rounder Vernon Davis and 2nd rounder Vance McDonald. Gotta think Roman will want something similar. Clay and 3rd round tight end is my guess.
Bookie Man Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I'm excited about his athleticism. But I'm like beastman, not sure he's shown enough to be a solid contributer. Hoping we can lock Clay down.
peterpan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I am of the opinion that the role that Grey and Clay could play, is much different than the type of TE (Seam threat and Red Zone Threat) that the Bills really need. I would like to see a 6'5 250# TE signed for that role, and let Grey be the H back type. We signed that FB from Minny, so I dont think we really need 3 players like that.
