Virgil Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 This is not a "sky is falling" thread. With who is left in FA, and assuming we go offensive lineman with our 2nd and 3rd picks (I doubt that will happen), is there talent out there which will finish off this offensive line for the ground and pound game we need? Woods fell off a bit last year and Glenn was solid. After that, who knows? Incognito didn't even play last year. Right now, I'm just wondering if we will be able to find the talent we need to be the team we are trying to be. I have faith
johnwalter Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 This is not a "sky is falling" thread. in fact, this is barely even a thread.
montanafan Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Actually I was thinking the same thing this afternoon. There hasn't been much free agency pursuit on the Bills part for the o-line. I still think adding Justin Blalock is a good thing. But the offensive line still needs some shoring up. Since Whaley already acknowledged this, I believe some things will happen.
OldTimer1960 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Not much OL talent available in FA. I don't think spending $3-5M for a marginal (if that) upgrade at OG is a good investment. Just because a guy played OG for another NFL team, doesn't mean he isnreally much better than Urbick or Chris Williams.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Draft Tomlinson if he lasts until our pick in the second round.
Bills Fan of St Augustine Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 in fact, this is barely even a thread. Why is that Johnny? Maybe you could expound on your thoughts?
BillsCelticsAngelsBama Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Draft Tre' Jackson, if he's still there @ #50

YoloinOhio Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Jake Long is available.Actually if healthy he might come cheap
Best Player Available Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 With chadsworth Reingoldwitz out there now. One Would think he even is an upgrade over C. Williams even if just for depth. Much less a starter.
billsfan1959 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Justin Blalock and Stefen Wisniewski are still available. Blalock is 31; however, he is durable (missed only 3 games in his career) and strong in run blocking. Wisniewski is a center, but played guard in his first year. Edited March 12, 2015 by billsfan1959
beerme1 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Actually if healthy he might come cheap I agree and I am serious. I would get him in and see what he's got left.
finn Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 This would have been my first priority by far. Same with last year and the year before that. It's always seems to be an afterthought with this crew. They seem to think any warm body can block the Suhs of the league. Prove me wrong, Whaley, please. Or plug in those all-stars Williams and Richardson again.
