taglientep Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 sign every halfway decent QB we can and let them battle it out. why not Yup! Get it done
Rockinon Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 That's what has been wrong in Buffalo! A missing Ty rod!
negativo Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I like it. Would save us wasting a pick in the draft on a project, give us a real 3-way competition for starter, and bring a dynamic to the offense in keeping with what Roman built in SF. Make it happen, T-Peg.
DRChicago Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Tyrod seems a little too conceded for my taste. I agree he can scramble & run but Tuel is a better pocket passer & team player. - IMO Agreed - I have no issues with conceited quarterbacks - you know, such as Kelly, Brady, even Flacco - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/03/joe-flacco-thinks-hes-the-best-quarterback-in-football/ BUT,' conceded' quarterbacks? Why bother if one starts by giving up?
mattsox Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-ravens-free-agent-quarterback-tyrod-taylor-visiting-buffalo-bills-sources-say-20150310-story.html He was the backup to Flacco. Tyrod! Tyrod! Tyrod!!!
Rico Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) FWIW, here in Baltimore, there aren't any Ravens fans that care if he leaves or not, even the Flacco-bashers. In (granted) limited playing time, he never showed any signs that he could get the job done. Edited March 11, 2015 by Rico
BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 If we wanted to compare his combine to those available in the draft the info is here http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/tyrod-taylor?id=2495240 Worth noting the blue stars mean top performer in that category
beerme1 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 If there is a three way challenge between EJ, Cassel and him I wouldn't be entirely shocked if he won. And I'm an EJ supporter but this guy has been waiting for his chance and this really could be it for him. Best guy wins.
John from Riverside Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Guys....Matt Cassel is gonna win that QB competition
Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Let's face it. There will never be enough Talleywhackers out there to satisfy you. better than the clowns we have
moshermw Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Cassel in Patriot form with Tyrod as a change-up/back-up sounds about the best we could hope for this year ...and the next '85 Bears D.
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Guys....Matt Cassel is gonna win that QB competition That would be so depressing. He has a career 33-38 record and has thrown 30 tds and 34 ints. But QBs always start to peak at age 32. Just like Orton. Cassel in Patriot form with Tyrod as a change-up/back-up sounds about the best we could hope for this year ...and the next '85 Bears D. That was 7 years ago.

stevestojan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Whats the worst that can happen? CBF I came here to post the same thing. Bring in 10 of em for all I care and have em battle it out.
Not at the table Karlos Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Where do you get 30 tds and 34 ints? Here are his career stats. He threw 96 TDs and 70 INTs. it's the pick and choose argument, like if you take away every Barry sanders run over 10 yards he wasn't really that good.

YoloinOhio Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Apparently Rex just said on the Dean Blundell Show on FAN 590 that the Bills signed Tyrod Taylor. Edited March 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
