Super bowl and nfc title game appearances are cool.

Not to mention 3-4 points per game is quite a bit as is the difference in time of possession and turnovers. But hey, he shouldn't let those things get in the way of a good crusade.

one game record lower than Buffalo* in 2014

YET had Brady and the Putrids * played the 2nd half in week 17 the Bills would have finished with the same 8-8 record as the 9ers

Not much of a crusade. Just pointing out that Roman's offense last year took a dive and wasn't much better than ours, despite superior talent.

The 49rs had a +12 TO ratio and finished 8-8. They had a TOP 1:51 more than the Bills (and ran off 200 fewer plays).

@RavensInsider: Tyrod Taylor base value of deal is $3.35M, $400,000 bonus, salaries $750,000, $1M, $1.2M

@RavensInsider: Tyrod Taylor $750,000 salary is fully guaranteed and has total of $1.15M gtd, including $400K bonus

@RavensInsider: Tyrod Taylor $1M playtime incentives each year, up to $1 million playtime plus playoffs, up to $1 million escalator 2016 for 2015 playtime

You'll get no argument from me about last year. It was a big backslide. I'll go with the overall track record as opposed to a single year though.

The 49'ers were a mess both on and off the field.

At $1.1M/year, I can live with that contract.

The 9ers HC was mailing it in and the entire team was sleep walking through the season last year.

That entire team is disintegrating before our very eyes right now. It was a thing of beauty, but the owner done !@#$ed it up.

I stated that myself. Hardpaws knew he was on the outs, and therefore many on the staff had to know they were on a short list.

I also reiterated that after Maroone had his scream at Whaley he too knew he was finished in Buffalo and said :censored: u . just a thought

let me edit that last post .... You can't be THE best season after season for goodness sake ... unless you are the Cheatriots

I don't believe that. I don't believe Harbaugh ever "mails it in"?

For your premise to be true, Roman was mailing it in too. I just don't think that happens for a season.

that is exactlky what we are saying.

Did you know that there were rumors that the Rex / Roman aliance was made before the season ended?

I don't know if he mailed it in so much as the players got fed up with him and stopped listening to him. To go along with the off-field issues, loss of talent, and erosion of talent.

yeah, me too - I could live real well with that contract

You're free to believe whatever you want. You can believe the truth or not.

I'd rather believe my lying eyes than you.

Regarding the offense argument... not that PFR is the end all be-all, but these links might be relevant:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2014/#team_stats::25

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2013/#team_stats::25

SF: 11th, 18th (both above PFR's avg)

Buf: 26th, 27th (both below PFR's avg)

Football Outsiders

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teamoff2014

SF: 8th, 16th (both above avg)

Buf: 25th, 26th (both below avg)

Again, these aren't the end all be all... but two sites who's focus is on analyzing the efficiency of a team, both ranked SF's offenses better than the Bills the last couple of years. Even with all the drama in 2014 for SF.

Add in PFF:

SF: 10th overall, 22nd passing, and 12th rushing

Buf: 29th overall, 28th passing, and 29th rushing

Even with all the discord swirling around that team, IMHO, the 49er offense was far better, in fundamental ways, than the Bills' offense

Although, I am not sure why this conversation is in a Tyrod Taylor thread

Because he's the fuel that will make our offense go! ;)
