Only $4M per year range?

Wow....

jordan Cameron was offered 7-8 mill by Cleveland and he turned it down. Clay is maybe below him in terms of FA but not that far. He will get 6 at the very least IMO with his age and versatility.

thats why Miami better be ready to give him a pretty big deal to keep him off the market unless he is going the hometown discount route. Most don't do that, especially on a team like that.

Does anyone else imagine Rodak having the biggest smile on his face whenever he writes anything negative about the Bills?

So let me get this straight, Jared Cook gets $7M a year and Charles Clay $4M? That doesn't make sense to me.

I just got the alert on my cell right now. Crazy, I know. Totally boggles my mind why he would settle for simply 4m if indeed true.

Yes.

Clay's agent must really suck

@MaxChadwick2: Report: #Dolphins TE Charles Clay expected to resign with Miami for about $4M/year despite #Bills interest. #NFL #NFLFreeAgency

If there is a silver lining this might hurt the market for Julius and Cameron. Maybe you sneak in and grab one of those guys? Maybe Cameron for $6M or Julius for $8M? I am just thinking out loud but I bet that their agents are not too happy about Clay taking $4M a year.

4M would be a steal for Clay. He would do really well in the Delanie Walker role I think.

When the Patriots played the Dolphins, they put their best corner on Clay (when healthy) and not Wallace.

I guarantee the leak from the bills yesterday to Carucci was perfectly timed.

Bills probably heard at combine Clay was close to signing for less than they are willing to pay and are beckoning the agent to wake up

I am just happy that the Bills now understand the importance of a quality TE......it escaped this team for 15 years

And although it's technically tampering it happens a lot at combine and wouldn't be shocked if bills talked to his agent already.

Teams find ways to skirt the rule as I understand it.

A lot of "we're definitely NOT talking about one of your clients, but what do you think a 6'3", 255-lb, 26 year-old TE would think of coming to Buffalo? Say, for around $5.5M/year? You know, hypothetically..."

that, or the bills "offer" is less than we expect and his current "ill just take the dolphins" was just as pointed to send the message of if you are interested, youll be paying.

The word is Parker wrapped up Byrd to NO at the combine last year. It's just like a big agent convention.
