BUFFALOTONE Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 https://twitter.com/AbramsonPBP/status/576021214725984256 I guess he is visiting Cleveland. ugh This was expected, wouldnt get all upset over it.
Chandler#81 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 If you are comparing his receiving numbers to Chandler's you are missing the point. It is about what Clay can force defenses to do with his versatility. I feel like a broken record saying it but there is a reason that multiple teams are fighting over this guy. 'Preciate your patience, Kirby. Can't blame Johnny Come Lately's for not reading all 40+ pages to see if their exact message has uttered 40 times. IMO, no sense starting a new thread til a decision is made -one way or another.
BUFFALOTONE Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 26 245 9.4 2 Vernon Davis stats last year. If TE is so important in Romans offense then why are Davis'stats so weak? Yes, he had one good year in'13 but otherwise his stats are similiar to Chandlers. Davis had 13 TDs in 2013. Last year he was terrible, but so was the entire offense for SF.
The Wiz Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 This was expected, wouldnt get all upset over it. Was also reported at 7am this morning. Plans can change.
Jamie Nails Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I'm just waiting on the tweet that says he signed Cleveland's offer sheet. Surprised no interest in Gresham.
Not at the table Karlos Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Vernon Davis was injured a lot last year.
BUFFALOTONE Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 IMO he's in that 3-5 mill range, no more. He's not a game changer that you plan for. Are guys like Belicheck going to game plan to stop Charles Clay??
YoloinOhio Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 IMO he's in that 3-5 mill range, no more. He's not a game changer that you plan for. Are guys like Belicheck going to game plan to stop Charles Clay??yes
CountryCletus Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 IMO he's in that 3-5 mill range, no more. He's not a game changer that you plan for. Are guys like Belicheck going to game plan to stop Charles Clay?? And if we sign him to a 4-5 year deal, I bet we see the rest of his contract after year one show his value
thebandit27 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 IMO he's in that 3-5 mill range, no more. He's not a game changer that you plan for. Are guys like Belicheck going to game plan to stop Charles Clay?? No...they are going to game plan to stop Sammy Watkins, LeSean McCoy, and Robert Woods. If they dedicate a good portion of their preparation so stopping those guys, it would make sense to have another big, physical target with some downfield speed that can hurt them.
dezertbill Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Keep in mind that alot of teams are also waiting to see what they do in their draft. If they get the player they want they may cut a veteran at a position. I.E. Vernon Davis with SF
Kirby Jackson Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 'Preciate your patience, Kirby. Thanks Chandler and I agree that it all works in this thread. I don't mind banging my head against a wall and repeating things 15 times. It is kind of turning into the new "can Pegula own the Bills and Sabres" conversation.
Bills of Boston Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Ian Rapoport @RapSheet · 5m 5 minutes ago TE Jordan Cameron remains in Miami with a lot of mutual interest. Meanwhile his old team the #Browns & other other team are in the mix.
YoloinOhio Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Fish trying to make Clay jealous by flirting with JC
nucci Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 I'm just waiting on the tweet that says he signed Cleveland's offer sheet. Surprised no interest in Gresham. Gresham is a below average player.
Jamie Nails Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Gresham is a below average player. If he's below average, what are Gray, Gragg and Fendi Onabun? Edited March 12, 2015 by Jamie Nails
947 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Gresham is a below average player. Agreed. He showed promise early in his career, but he's become slow and very limited offensively.
nucci Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) If he's below average, what are Gray, Gragg and Fendi Onabun? I don't know...I was responding to your statement about Gresham....but having to guess, they are below average also...isn't the point of signing players to get better...not stay the same? YoloinOhio Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) I find it funny that I've been listening to Cleveland sports radio for 3 hrs and no mention of Clay. OSU bball, OSU spring football, cavs and manziel. Edited March 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
