YoloinOhio Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Seriously Miami. Sign Suh so we can send out an offer sheet. Damn.they only need to cut about 5 more starters and forfeit the draft and they will be almost there with cap space
John from Riverside Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Funny, I didn't see a single decent run after catch in that video. Pretty much all short TDs. Also noted this four-minute highlight reel couldn't have more than a play for every 25-30 seconds. Not much to work with, I am sure. And what the video doesnt show you is Scott Chandler gets rag dolled way to much blocking then he should for a man of his size.... Clay...on the other hand is actually a pretty good blocker

Nanker Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 He's exactly the guy for Roman, and one of my top players I wanted in FA. He's just what we need out of that position right now, much better than Chandler, and good complement to Chandler who would be a good #2. Sure, but he's got a Miss Piggy face, and flat hips.
jo39416 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I think you can make the argument that Scott Chandler is an average TE in this league with average stats.. Clay is an above average TE with average stats. Also stats do not tell the story. Also they are not at all the same type of player. That is all.
Doc Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Yep, he's the TE from this FA class that I thought was the best fit. Cameron might be better when healthy, but who knows if/when that ever happens. If Cameron didn't have the concussion issue, he'd probably have been retained by Cleveland or signed by now. Several teams have brought him in and passed because he's too much of a risk.
The Wiz Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Clay > Chandler at everything. Not falling down after the catch. Chandler has the move down.
dezertbill Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Clay is a medium upgrade in stats and a huge upgrade in blocking. I think his stats will go up in Greg Romans offense
Bills of Boston Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Hopefully when we throw the 1 yard out to clay (if we sign him) on 3rd and 3 he will be able to pick up the first down over chandler who gets dropped for 2 or less every.time
billsfan1959 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) FWIW, For the 2014 season, PFF had Clay graded 9th among tight ends in receiving and 11th in run blocking (as opposed to Chandler, who was rated 63rd and 40th respectively) A little more perspective: Julius Thomas was rated 10th and 33rd respectively Edited March 11, 2015 by billsfan1959
Kelly the Dog Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Suh is signing his contract now. Let the games begin.

BuffaloHokie13 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Link? CBF JoeBuscaglia Joe Buscaglia #Bills paying attention. RT @RapSheet: Ndamukong Suh is signing his contract. So… he’s officially a member of the #Dolphins.
K D Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Link? CBF Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 5m5 minutes ago Ndamukong Suh is signing his contract. So… he’s officially a member of the #Dolphins. I would expect the Bills to crunch the numbers and adjust their offer to Clay accordingly so that the Dolphins can't match it
Doc Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 You guys do know that Miami signed Clay right? No they didn't.
Zac Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 You guys do know that Miami signed Clay right? They did not.
nucci Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) You guys do know that Miami signed Clay right? Gave him a transition tag which gives him the right to sign with another team. The Dolphins can either match the contract and keep him or not match and signing team gets him....or have you read none of this? Edited March 11, 2015 by nucci
Coach Tuesday Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 You guys do know that Miami signed Clay right? Why do I get so angry about posts like these? I need to discuss with my therapist next week.
