I read that it's a 6-year $114M contract and $60M is guaranteed.

My bad. Meant to write 60 million dollars of his contract was guaranteed. My question is: How does that guaranteed money work against the cap, and does it have any real affect on any offer to Clay by the Bills?

At this point, before Suh has officially signed, they are 4.5m under the cap. Once Suh signs, they will take on another 11-12.5m in cap putting them ~8m over the cap. From my understanding anyways. So yes, It does impact them. Letting Clay sign with Buffalo will relieve some of the cap but not all of it. Also, they have draft picks to sign as well so other players with higher salaries will be restructured more than likely.

As a poster maybe, but as I recall he was ridiculed by people relating to his work, sources, etc. Why would you waste your time here? I'm sure he reads the Wall, like most media, players, etc, but there really is no benefit for him being a regular participant here.

Edit: we either get Clay and way overpay or Dolphins way over pay

The Bills are set to have $50 million in cap room next off season, with even more the following year. There's no such thing as "overpaying" if you structure the deal correctly. There's plenty of room to "overpay" Clay and still resign our own.

Yes, Chris-- I am sure you both are about the same player.

That's part of the thick skin. Why listen to the mouthbreathers?
