Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Prefer to lock up a good offensive lineman. Hopefully soon Yes, but I think Harvin would be very affordable.
Kelly the Dog Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I imagine that Roman would love a toy like that. Shady, Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Clay? That would be kinda crazy.
strive_for_five_guy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Not even sure why the Bills would want him. He is most effective on bubble screens and crossing patterns. Im pretty sure the Bills already have a guy who can do that...and do it very well. He'd be an upgrade over Hogan.
Virgil Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Only if it's a deal that's cheap and easily voidable. We have Goodwin and Thigpen. There are other needs for our money
Lurker Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I imagine that Roman would love a toy like that. Shady, Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Clay? That would be kinda crazy. Yep. And have Garrison Sanborn snap the ball to the QB in a deep, deep shotgun formation...
Dorkington Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I imagine that Roman would love a toy like that. Shady, Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Clay? That would be kinda crazy. EJ has to be excited and nervous as hell. Roman, improved line, more weapons.... if he doesn't develop with this set up, he never will!
BackInDaDay Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I don't like him, but if Rex wants him after coaching him last year then I'm okay with it. good point... i wonder if Fred can play QB?
Joe Buffalo Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 This guy has been dropped from every team he's been on for a reason. I do not want him to be part of the Bills organization.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Save the cap space and sign TE, G, Lb in that order for price of always injured Percy
Coach Tuesday Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 This is why we have Fred Jackson Richie Incognito.
MDH Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 He'd be an upgrade over Hogan. Yeah, I wasnt talking about Hogan. Harvin is like Watkins but without the class, dedication, size, route tree and youth. If the Bills want to start running bubble screens feed Watkins the ball and forget about Harvin.
Rob's House Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Save the cap space and sign TE, G, Lb in that order for price of always injured Percy I doubt he commands all that high of a salary at this point.
billsfan89 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Harvin makes sense for Roman's offense. Very versatile and a vertical threat. Harvin, Clay, and a guard would round out the offense nicely. Could free up the draft pick to add depth to the defense.
Big C Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Dude was in the MVP discussion for Minny a couple years back before he was hurt - same year AP went for 2K. If he is cheap, why not? We have to trust our veteran leadership and staff to a point.
negativo Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) Kick returner with a head and heart problem. Meh. Edited March 10, 2015 by negativo
Jamie Nails Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Seattle won the super bowl the year he was "a cancer" in the locker room. I could care less about his attitude if we're winning games. We need to go this route for once. The choir boy approach has gotten us 15 years of nada.
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 He would be a perfect fit in Roman's offense. Combine that with his unbelievable talent and you'd be stupid to take a moral high horse.
MDH Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Harvin makes sense for Roman's offense. Very versatile and a vertical threat. Harvin, Clay, and a guard would round out the offense nicely. Could free up the draft pick to add depth to the defense. Disagree with just about all of this (except for the clay and guard part.) Harvin isnt versitile, he is very limited in what hes able to do and was upset when Seattle didnt use him as a complete WR. Also, if I were to round out this WR group it would be with a bugger red zone target, not a gadget player. Even if the Bills land Clay they could still use another big target (and Clay isnt that big...)
Big C Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 If EJ or Cassel is the QB, we need guys like this. The kinds of deception you can use with him, Shady and Sammy on the field would be nuts.
Kelly the Dog Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Hmmm... we don't have a franchise QB, but we do have a creative OC who knows how to get the ball in players hands in space. So run the ball down the defenses throats and throw a lot of slants, bubble screens and go patterns to playmakers who thrive on that. I wonder who could do that besides Watkins?
