The Real Buffalo Joe Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Bills Fan 4 Ever is actually Locker.
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Yeah hard to fault him but man, backup Qbs last forever. He could have made millions wearing a visor a la Todd Collins.
djp14150 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) I think the injuries take their toll, and that's why he has lost his desire. I can't be critical of his decision......being hurt all the time in the NFL goes w the territory, and I can see the appeal of getting out while he is still whole (if he still is). He had numerous injuries which played a big role.... he also has the baseball skills to fall back on. In baseball you dont have the injury risk like in football. Edited March 10, 2015 by djp14150
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I'm not sure I've really seen a Jake Locker PC or interview. Would he make a good analyst?
billsfan1959 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Respect his decision and wish him luck. It seems he understands what is most important to him at this point in his life...pretty impressive for a 26 year old.
negativo Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 He is pulling a Orton, retire so you don't get offers. With 1 preseason game to go we pull him off his couch if EJ is sucking. This.
K D Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Respect his decision and wish him luck. It seems he understands what is most important to him at this point in his life...pretty impressive for a 26 year old. or he doesn't realize the opportunity he is giving up. but if he doesn't want to play then I'm glad he decided to retire and not try and weasel any money out of us
stevestojan Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) From what I read (on the internet, so it's true) his net worth is 4.5MM. Invested at even 4%, that's $180,000 a year without even talking about compounding. Enough to live a modest life without doing jack ****. Good for him. Edited March 10, 2015 by stevestojan
Dorkington Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) The lengths people will go through to discredit Leroi. But seriously, totally respect players who walk away early. Edited March 10, 2015 by Dorkington
Solomon Grundy Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Im just glad we can stop the Locker/Bradford to Buffalo talk!! Maybe Cutler can retire too.
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Im just glad we can stop the Locker/Bradford to Buffalo talk!! Maybe Cutler can retire too. jay don't care enough to take the time to retire. He won't tell anyone and just won't show up one day.
ALF Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Jake did not want to see a nice guy like EJ get cut for him.
BillsFanM.D. Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 And that's before he played a year in Buffalo. The lengths people will go through to discredit Leroi. Gentlemen: Very, very well done....and back to back.
Thirty Year Fan Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Good, the Hurt Locker to Buffalo crap can stop... Awesome Right on!!!!! The last thread ever about Jake Locker
BringBackFergy Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 ...but but but Joe B. spent 230 hours watching every Locker play from scrimmage. Damn.
Beerball Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 This is troubling news. Any word on where Jay Clocker is leaning?
BringBackFergy Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) This is troubling news. Any word on where Jay Clocker is leaning? Jacksonville I bet...they are getting all the primo players this year. It's gotta be Marrone. Edited March 11, 2015 by BringBackFergy

Good for him. $180,000/yr is something like 90th percentile earnings for the US. Not so freakin' modest even, better than 90% of the US lives.
