KD in CA Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 The problem in CT is girls hockey doesn't have enough schools participating to make it a sanctioned CIAC sport so the rules are a little murky and decision making in a situation like this can be ad hoc. Agreed they could have let them play another period or at a minimum had the foresight to tell the teams 2 OTs was the max, but there's also only so long they're going to want to delay the main attraction. The packed house was there to see Darien - Greenwich.
Fan in San Diego Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Don't they have a shoot off under those circumstances? One player only takes the puck and tries to score. If that player scores the other team has one chance to score and tie. It goes until one team scores and the other doesn't score on their one chance to tie. Or am I just confusing this with something else?
