bisonbrigade Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Do the Bills have enough cap space? If not cut Chis Williams and whoever else you need to and get it done? Oh yeah!!
BringBackFergy Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 The fact that this thread is all in CAPS drew my attention to it immediately and I thank you for alerting me to this breaking news.
NoSaint Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 If not cut Chis Williams and whoever else you need to i vote we all just skip the obvious elephant in the room and keep that in his own thread
bisonbrigade Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 The fact that this thread is all in CAPS drew my attention to it immediately and I thank you for alerting me to this breaking news. Sorry, copied and pasted off NFL.com. Would be nice to have Gilmore and Revis.
Kirby Jackson Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 There is enough room to do it now. They'd be wise to try to trade McKelvin and his $5M (or whatever it is) cap hit though.
Gene Frenkle Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Forget QB, Revis could potentially make us an all-time great defense.

bisonbrigade Posted March 9, 2015 Author Posted March 9, 2015 Forget QB, Revis could potentially make us an all-time great defense. No need to pass, defense would score 14 points a game. Every game 14-0.
dezertbill Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Don't think we have enough. Spotrac shows us at $12.7 million left w/out Gay signing, which shouldn't be too much. Throw in Iupati or Bulaga and that will shrink to about $5 mil. We would need another $8 mil in space. Cutting Williams, Urbak and restructuring Mario could do that. We'll see
Kirby Jackson Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 really the only alternative being call graham starting safety if they go this way. but mckelvin/graham cant be CB4.Totally agree. I think that they can get a mid round pick for Leo and it would offset $5M of the Revis deal. They can slide Graham over to safety and Robey int the slot or play Graham in the slot and Duke at safety. There would be other times that all 6 of them are on the field. If you think back to Pettine and his "multiple" players it could work. The Bills defense would be absolutely dominating (and deep).
Dorkington Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 He's good, but not worth killing the rest of our cap over at this point. We need to shore up the OL and TE positions.
billsfan89 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Rex has capable corners and will hope Gilmore will develop into a poor mans version of Revis. With Hughes, McCoy, Cassel, and Incognito in the fold I don't think Revis will fit under the cap even if you don't make any more significant signings in free agency. Revis will likely command 15+ million a year and while I think he is worth it the math just doesn't make sense and would leave a lot of holes on the offense (Even if you draft a guard in round 2) and hamper the depth of the defense.
BillsVet Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT! LOUD NOISES! Sincerely, Brick Tamlan
Punch Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 The Pats aren't picking up his option but they're still actively negotiating with him on a new deal. It's still likely he remains in New England. If the Bills could make it work, though...
Franchiseneedsme Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 We would have the best pass rush, the, best secondary, and top 10 linebackers. So the ? Is would our offence put up 20 points a game? If they think so we should do it
Gene Frenkle Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 No need to pass, defense would score 14 points a game. Every game 14-0. There are no good QB options. What are they supposed to do?
papazoid Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 REVIS IS THE BEST CB IN THE LEAGUE......IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE, YOU DO IT. (why are we yelling ?)
White Linen Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Reports say Browner was told he can shop his value because the Pats don't want to pay his 2mil roster bonus. He's the guy I'd go after.
