transient Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Damn. I tried to point out how somebody used "mute" instead of "moot" point, and half you guys are correcting me as if I was the offending writer. I guess I need to brush up on my clarifying skills. Have a blessed day. I'm not sure which is more dispiriting, the everpresent reminder that journalism is a dying quick and painful death or the subsequent inexorable reminder that critical thinking isn't far behind.
BuffaloBob Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I guess that's why he's been so quiet about it recently. :w00t:
Tenhigh Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Wtf is this thread even about?TC was busting balls, and a few misunderstood...
TC in St. Louis Posted March 8, 2015 Author Posted March 8, 2015 I'm not sure which is more dispiriting, the everpresent reminder that journalism is a dying quick and painful death or the subsequent inexorable reminder that critical thinking isn't far behind. beautifully stated.
KOKBILLS Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2015/03/buffalo_bills_reportedly_close_to_new_contract_with_lesean_mccoy.html Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast. I would catch it. Nice...
Gray Beard Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I think Matthew Fairburn generally does a pretty good job with his Bills coverage. However, this short article has "mute" instead of "moot" along with some pretty contorted sentence structures. My high school English teacher would be rolling in her grave if she knew what passes for journalism these days.
jimmy10 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I guess that's why he's been so quiet about it recently. Prime example of why TSW rules.
Kelly the Dog Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 The kid sounds like a dumbass when he speaks. Sheesh. If you don't want to hear him speak, use the friggin' moot button.
