Wayne Cubed
Vic Carucci @viccarucci 6 other teams were interested in signing Jerry Hughes, but he made it clear during negotiations he wanted to stay w #Bills. Love it, Hughes wanted to be here.
Dibs
But what about the cap????? Depending on how it is structured, it could be a cap hit this year of only about $3.5M.
BarleyNY
Looks like he got market value. 5 years, $45M is right there. Nice to know that with all else equal he wanted to stay a Bill. Retaining him is huge.

Matteboots
Not surprised to see this deal get done on both sides. The trade for Hughes is a feather in Whaley's cap and I would think he would want to retain him because of that. I also think Hughes knows that Buffalo is the best place for him. He won't get double teams due to the talent surrounding him which will allow him to be successful.
YoloinOhio
@ChrisTrapasso: Where Hughes' deal ranks --> among 3-4 OLBs: total contract value - 3rd. Total gtd - 3rd. Among 4-3 DEs: total value - 5th. Total gtd - 5th

KW and Mario being 31, and 30, right? Who's the other 30? McKelvin? Do we draft a DT or DE this year to start developing? Edit: Manny is 30, McKelvin is 29.
