3rdand12 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 (edited) Not really he was a cheap trade we have only had for two year. By your logic the Bills won't be allowed to let anyone go, ever. Bills made him into the DE he is today. he should thank Whaley at least. I consider Jerry ,one who the Bills staff developed up to his potential. Edited March 9, 2015 by 3rdand12
thebandit27 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 If this gets done for $8.5M per, I'll be absolutely ecstatic
Not at the table Karlos Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 If this gets done for $8.5M per, I'll be absolutely ecstaticthis. (I feel like I agree with most of the things you say) F....5
3rdand12 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Im frustrated that I have to repeat this same information over and over to doom-and-gloom Bills fans who seem to forget the good news and only focus on the negatives, but here we go... Aaron Williams, Eric Wood, and Leodis McKelvin were all recently re-signed before they hit Free Agency. Kyle Williams and Fred Jackson are also playing on extended contracts without ever coming close to hitting Free Agency. Stevie Johnson was re-signed before he hit Free Agency and Fitz was given a mid-year extension. Reports came out of OBD as early as Spring of 2014 that they were working on extending Jerry Hughes. The Bills have recently said they are working on extending Nigel Bradham before his contract is up next year, and Im sure they have plans to work on Dareus asap. They have to work an entire roster into the limited cap space available. Some players dont want to settle for an extension and would rather test Free Agency. That is the player's decision. Andy Levitre and Jairus Byrd wanted to hit FA and go with the max offer. Searcy is unfortunately going to be over-valued this year, knows it, and is doing the same. Hughes is the top pass rusher in FA this year and would be stupid not to listen to other offers, just in case. (And that's only 4 unsigned players worth noting, compared to all those we re-signed) What more do you want the FO to do???? Its a historical perception Dr. We still feel " cheap" the latest FO is not at all like the olden days. thank gosh. for better or worse its at least exciting. we shall see if the FO is loyal to players over time. its a new sheriff
QCity Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Would have to be good $$$ guaranteed ^ this. Watch the guaranteed, not the yearly average.
Reed83HOF Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Joe Chenelly @jchenelly 2m2 minutes ago Jerry Hughes news to break soon, likely tonight. Not comfortable speculating. I've just been told to stand by for news soon. 0 replies 0 retweets 0 favorites
BeastMode54 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 signing bonus/guaranteed helps lower cap hit right?
thebandit27 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 this. (I feel like I agree with most of the things you say) F....5 Oh dear; you may want to have yourself checked
BringBackFergy Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Wrong. The Bills are God's favorite team.LOL
3rdand12 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 He either benched him himself and threw pepper Johnson under the bus, or he really didn't notice/care. Neither is ok. thats always going to be a mystery> but i think Pepper set him down to cool offf.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 If the 8.5 number gets it done- huge victory. I Was pretty convinced he'd get 10 I was certain that it would be in the 10-12 million range. Whatever team he signed with.
NoSaint Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 signing bonus/guaranteed helps lower cap hit right? Signing bonus helps year one and hurts future- guaranteed doesn't effect today at all (minus the cash being set aside in an account)
BringBackFergy Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Jerry is solid. He knows what he has in MD, MW and KW. He'll take the $8.5 mill and go Beast Mode on Defense.
John from Riverside Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Whatever the figure ends up being folks....plz keep in mind that it is not your money! This is what made Pegula buying the team special....he is willing to pay to win
3rdand12 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 God has a quite the sense of humor. i have noticed that too. Bills being a fine example
