The Real Buffalo Joe Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 "Wolfie" isn't part of "the rest of the band," even on his best of days. I forgot he was there. What people don't realize is that even if he was as good of a bass player, people don't realize Michael Anthony's contribution as a backup singer.
Gugny Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I forgot he was there. What people don't realize is that even if he was as good of a bass player, people don't realize Michael Anthony's contribution as a backup singer. Precisely.
Chef Jim Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 VH isn't part of this discussion. Just Beatles and Stones. My point is the Stones have staying power. Which means absolutely nothing regarding the quality of the music.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Didn't want to start a new thread, but I just wanted to share this. Brown Sugar with Clapton on slide. Alternate take. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4O80NpnpHw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4O80NpnpHw
KD in CA Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Stones are going on tour this summer. Beatles aren't. Check and Mate. Are they bringing their own hospice nurses?
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted May 21, 2015 Author Posted May 21, 2015 Are they bringing their own hospice nurses? The only thing older than the Rolling Stones is jokes about how old they are.
bbb Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Are they bringing their own hospice nurses? Keith Richards will outlive all of us.
truth on hold Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Stones I was at a bar playing their stuff and it was great, never realized how many good tunes they had. And many sounded just as current as they must have been when they came out. Beatles stuff just sounds dated...60's rebellion stuff is over.
bbb Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Keith calls Sargent Pepper rubbish. But, it looks like John kind of did, too: TomMullen • 13 minutes ago "Sgt. Pepper is called the first concept album, but it doesn't go anywhere. All my contributions to the album have nothing to do with this idea of Sgt. Keith Richards should listen back to his latest solo crap before he starts taking digs at the !@#$ing Beatles.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Lol. I was literally reading this article and looking for this thread as I found it.
bbb Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Pffft. Keith Richards should listen back to his latest solo crap before he starts taking digs at the !@#$ing Beatles. He also mocked out their answer to it - Satanic Majesties. Lol. I was literally reading this article and looking for this thread as I found it. I must have got the RS email first!

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 10, 2015 Author Posted September 10, 2015 http://ultimateclassicrock.com/keith-richards-grateful-dead-comment/ So far in the past month or so, Keith has ripped on the following. The Beatles All of rap/hip-hop Metal (specifically called out Black Sabbath and Metalica.) Jerry Garcia/Grateful Dead In completely unrleated news, his first solo album in 23 years is released on September 18th.
LeGOATski Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 This should be no contest. Beatles. And metal (all it's variations) is the best form of rock.

Today he proclaimed he wants his kids to snort his ashes when he dies. Not a good idea they most likely would be considered toxic. A lot of comments are always taken out of context like his sgt. peppers comments. lennon thought the album sucked too.

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted September 11, 2015 Author Posted September 11, 2015 Honestly, the more I think about it. It's most likely just Keef having some fun and trolling everybody, and ripping on all of his buddies who are laughing along with him, all while gaining publicity for this new album.
