cage Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I think it means he's about to be re-signed! There's no way they would look to be loosing Alonso and Hughes in a single week...
Guffalo Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I hope that is the plan, a quick signing of Hughes would take the sting away from losing Alonzo.

There's no way they would look to be loosing Alonso and Hughes in a single week...That was my first reaction as well but could also mean Bills are going after and confident in signing David Harris This team could be loaded next year Edited March 4, 2015 by Max997
Deranged Rhino Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I think it means he's about to be re-signed! There's no way they would look to be loosing Alonso and Hughes in a single week... I tend to agree.
BillsPride12 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I was thinking the same thing. Rex Ryan came here because he knew he'd have alot of new toys to play with on our defense. Can't picture the plan being to let alot of these pieces leave
Formerly Allan in MD Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 That was my first reaction as well but could also mean Bills are going after and confident in signing David Harris This team could be loaded next year Loaded without a gun on offense.
Sojourner Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Well it's ~$10M less that we have to spend. Every inside source is stating that it's most probable McCoy and the Bills come to terms on a new deal. He "has an issue" going outside of PA to play football plus his guaranteed money is set around the $1M mark. If the deal does go through, I think it's because he sees a lot more money up-front to secure his services. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If it ain't Hughes, we would likely find a suitable replacement in the draft - no?
UticaBill Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 We are not likely to find that type of edge rushing talent by the time we pick, so it safe to say that we will need DE/LB hybrid types like Hughes in free agency....unless we trade.

UticaBill Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 This draft is full of edge rushers... Yes and by the time we pick at #50 the top 5-6 will be gone already, and nobody after that could hold Hughes jock....
ndirish1978 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Yes and by the time we pick at #50 the top 5-6 will be gone already, and nobody after that could hold Hughes jock.... I disagree completely. But I do hope we re-sign him
nucci Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Yes and by the time we pick at #50 the top 5-6 will be gone already, and nobody after that could hold Hughes jock.... Why would you hold another guys jock?
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 let me look in the other Hughes threads and provide feedback
Dr Doom Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Why would you hold another guys jock? Why not! You could even get it signed! Think of the value on ebay!
nucci Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Why not! You could even get it signed! Think of the value on ebay! Didn't think of that
