Hillary violated law as SOS

Recommended Posts

She's going to raise and spend $2,500,000,000.00 to buy herself the Presidency. That's obscene on any scale. I can only hope that her ads backfire and people are so fatigued by them that her "supporters" get turned off by the intensity.

The Clintons continue to make a mess of things.

Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million.

Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

That figure alone says it all. There must be crazy money involved in being prez. Maybe even more than we can imagine.

You can read the 4,500-word Times article or watch the nine-minute-long summary produced by Fox News, but here’s a simplified tick-tock of the deal:

  • In September 2005, Bill Clinton traveled to Kazakhstan and met his friend Frank Giustra (pronounced joo-strah), who wanted to buy uranium mines there.
  • Clinton gave a press conference with Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, in which he endorsed the leader’s human rights record and democratic progress, even though he had just received 91% of the vote in an allegedly rigged election. The event was a public relations coup for Nazarbayev.
  • A couple of days later, Kazakhstan gave Giustra the uranium concessions he requested.
  • Giustra then donated $31 million to the Clinton Foundation with a promise of $100 million more to follow.

The Westinghouse Deal

  • Later, Kazakhstan wanted to purchase an equity stake in Westinghouse, an American company that serves the civilian nuclear industry. This would require approval by the Hillary Clinton-run State Department.
  • Giustra set up a meeting between Kazakhstan energy representatives and Bill Clinton in his Chappaqua home. Giustra and Bill Clinton both denied this meeting ever took place until a New York Times reporter produced photographic evidence.
  • The State Department approved the deal and KazAtomProm (Kazakhstan’s state-owned nuclear company) purchased 10% of the company.

Putin and Uranium One

  • Giustra’s company was merged into Uranium One, which controls about half of U.S. uranium.
  • The Russians wanted to purchase Uranium One, another deal which would require State Department approval.
  • Uranium One’s major shareholders gave tens of millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation, which the foundation didn’t disclose.
  • Hillary’s State Department approved the deal and Russia bought Uranium One. Putin can now sell this nuclear fuel to Iran.

MITT ROMNEY ON HILLARY’S URANIUM DEAL: “It looks like bribery.”

.

It's not bribery. It's typical Clinton foreign policy. Put all the responsibility in the hands of your most chummy corporations. See "Unocal." and "China, MFN status."

The Clintons are, and always have been, first-order opportunists. Bribery requires a set of beilefs and convictions that can be compromised. The Clintons - Bill, but particularly Hillary - don't have an ethos. They can't be bribed. Bought, yes...but not bribed.

I predict that if Hillary wins the nomination the mass media will determine that this uranium incident, the email scandal, Bengazi, and anything else that comes out are little more than side distractions for hacks and kooks to harp on.

Normally I would agree with you.

However, the word "uranium" has entered the discussion. Even the low information, benighted hags, that hang out in casinos at 3 am instead of being home with their kids from 3 fathers, know what uranium is, and know that giving it to Russia is a stupid idea. You know, because uranium....might set off a bomb in DC, and then, where would they get their welfare/unemployment/disability from? (Hey, that's their thought process, not mine) Where would the get the free birth control...that they don't use..hence the 3 kids?

Yep.

And, if Hillary is elected? If selling Obamacare down the river, accepting Fair Tax reform, and everything else on the menu, buys Hillary a second term: she'll make that deal. Her husband made the deals he needed to make...and got to run against Bob Dole in return. (Yeah, like Gingrich didn't have a hand in that)

I imagine if she wins, it will be very close, so she'll be selling off whole sections of The ObamaFAIL to try and keep the Rs at bay for the first 4 years. EPA, IRS, HHS, DoEd(because of Common Core) will all end in bloodbaths. The DoD takes some hits just to make it look good, but the The ObamaFAIL will be largely destroyed.

This is why the far-left is right not to trust her. She cares about them and their issues exactly as much as she cared about the people of NYS.

I think you're giving them too much credit. They may not give her a pass in the primary, but if she gets the nomination and it's down to her or a Republican, the only stories I see coming out at that point about this are ones that glaze over it as an obstacle she's had to overcome or about how she's bravely and courageously persevered through these allegations. I doubt it gets half the coverage that Mitt Romney's alleged schoolyard bullying, his dog cage tied to the roof, or his wife's horse got.

Plus, wasn't it the Clinton administration that let North Korea get their hands on spent nuclear fuel rods? They don't care because he's their guy. They just rationalize as follows:

Clinton gives uranium to the Russians - I mean, Russia already has enough nuclear bombs to blow up the world twice anyway; what are they going to do, blow it up 3 times? Besides, they probably just want poor people in Primorski to have electricity. Nothing to see here.

<Republican nominee> had lunch with someone who once told a racial joke at a cocktail party. - we need to get to the bottom of this.

HIstory repeating. I remember this one and I remember it getting swept under the rug.

"The fact that Clinton personally issued the waivers to allow shipments of U.S. technology that greatly improved the accuracy and reliability of Communist China's missiles is grounds for impeachment, regardless of whether or not there was any quid pro quo for those decisions. U.S. space technology was just what China needs to make intercontinental ballistic missiles and point them more accurately at U.S. cities. And he did it despite the objections of the U.S. State Department, Defense Department, Justice Department, and intelligence agencies".

I understand. But, the world we currently live in, which values brevity over content....because either people are too stupid to read more than one sentence, or, they've been conditioned by Twitter, or, their attention spans, and perhaps even their neural pathways have been altered, such that they barely have time to attend to content, due to their constant social media maintenance...

...only wants to hear very few words. And, if those words are Uranium, Russians, and Hillary? It really doesn't matter what the media does.

I agree the media is good at taking nuanced stories, or stories that require thought and/or attention span, and burying them. However, this story is 3 words.

All you need to do is add 4th: terrorism, or perhaps a phrase/headline, "US Uranium has left country due to Clinton deal".

And now, even the dopiest of whiners, who can't read anything longer than 3 sentences, still receives the message.

UNRAVELING: Liberal Common Cause demands Clinton Foundation, Hillary audit.

The financial issues plaguing Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign have become too much even for liberal groups, and now Common Cause is calling for an independent audit of donations to the Clinton Foundation.

Amid suggestions that foreign governments donated to the foundation in hopes of getting special treatment from President Obama’s State Department when Clinton was his top diplomat, the group on Friday said a “thorough review” is needed.

The Clintons’ spin yesterday — that this was all a dastardly “conservative” smear — is looking even weaker.

Only 15% of Clinton Foundation Donations Go To Charities.

It’s like it’s just a big money laundry or something.

Maybe so, but anyone who was politically aware throughout the 90's will remember the Clintons' ability to pin accusations of wrongdoing on that 'vast right wing conspiracy'. I think it's going to take hard evidence of Hillary's involvement in any of this, plus having all major media outlets turn on her, to derail her candidacy. Hopefully I'm wrong, but we'll see.

Bill Clinton's been lining his pockets since forever.

Remember the 1998 Loral satellite that was on a Chinese rocket that blew up before it cleared the launch tower.

Who in their right mind doesn't believe that the Chinese took the guidance system out before they blew up that firecracker?

Nice way to remove all evidence. Their Long March boosters are now much more accurate thanks to Bill and Loral.

Billy got hundreds of millions of dollars for that swap that his piss boy Johnny Chung delivered.

Not many people seem to remember that. There was a controversy over how many people were or weren't killed in the explosion, as well as sensitive or classified technology that was never found in the wreckage. Clinton supporters all dismissed it as a right wing scare tactic.

I am so glad we're back in the world where the definition of "is" is important again. As in $2.3 million isn't a major amount of cash. Congratulations, 1%-ers, the bar has been reset. Expect your refund soon.
