Deranged Rhino Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Anyone out there in the big wide world of OTW work in oil and gas, particularly fracking, that would be willing to help me out by answering some research / technical questions? PMs are fine if you'd prefer that method over posting. I'm just trying to get a handle on some of the technical elements of the process and the online sources I'm finding are great, but not specific enough for my needs. Appreciate it.
Deranged Rhino Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 GE is looking at fracking with Co2 I'm particularly interested in the fracking sites themselves, layouts, equipment, how may people it takes to run a well et al. It's just background info for a project I'm working on (that's not related to Fracking really, fracking is just more of a small element but I want to get it right).

KD in CA Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Pretty sure Fan in Chicago is an oil/gas guy. Haven't seen him in a while but he's never been a heavy poster so might be lurking around.

Nanker Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 You need to have a net worth of $500k and at least $40k to invest Greggy.
Deranged Rhino Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 You need to have a net worth of $500k and at least $40k to invest Greggy. Dammit! What if I've got a networth of... um... some signed Giorgio memorabilia (possibly faked) and 50 bitcoins? Does that at least get me in parking lot?
Beerball Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Why is it that nobody remembers Frick any more?

Just Jack Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Why is it that nobody remembers Frick any more? I loved going to Frick & Fracks after the bar closed. Too bad it's gone now.
ICanSleepWhenI'mDead Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Don't know what level of detail you already have, but my brother Darryl thought this was pretty informative:
