_BiB_ Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 A gal that works where I do (Bills fan from Rochester) told me a rumor of a place arounf Alexandria/Fairfax known for great/authentic wings. She didn't have the name and now we are on the quest. Does anyone know where this place is?

They have something called the Buffalo Platter: "A Beef-on-Weck sandwich and a side of Buffalo wings. Served with fries, bleu cheese dressing, celery sticks and horseradish on the side. 9.95" B) They also sell the B-o-W sandwich and wings (varying sizes) separately. Used to be a great Bills bar. Now?...haven't been there in years. http://www.greveys.com/index.html

_BiB_ Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 What does THAT asssshole know? 17484[/snapback] He knows how to eat. Although he is down to about 240 now. Melody must be inspiring him. I actually saw him eat a salad.
Maguire's Beer Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 The Big Hunt in Dupont Circle in DC, while not a Bills bar, has the best wings I've had outside of the Buff. High quality chicken and a straightforward Frank's based sauce, just like home.
Ned Flanders Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 There are none...zippo, zilch, zero. I'm in Arlington and the best wings around me are at the Dominos on Columbia Pike, and that's not saying much. Grevey's are ok, but I haven't been there in four years...last I remember they were on the small side. Jimmy's in Herndon is owned by a Buffalo guy and he uses Anchor Bar sauce. Never had 'em (G.Host?) but he serves a good fish fry.
Mark VI Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Greveys used to be a Buffalo Bar. Is it still that way? I lived in Maryland from 1987-92. Went across the Wilson bridge. The gathering spot for Bills games. Genny Beer, Wings & Pizza, Beef on Weck. Mgr of the place was from Buffalo. Place would be packed on gameday for the Bills.
