CodeMonkey Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I think the determining factor would be whether or not there is a suitable replacement. Getting rid of someone just to get rid of them is stupid. Keep him on the team while pursuing other options and competition, like we are doing right now. Most EJ supporters are all for bringing in competition, but stop short of throwing 50% of our cap space or more at that competition (ie bradford, cutler). God forbid, if we are in the same spot in 2016, and EJ beats said competition out, then we are playing the best QB option we have got. I don't think we ever stop looking for another QB though, even this year. Is that what people think happens when we play EJ? Cutting EJ at any point doesn't mean a magical franchise QB pops out of the hopper. I couldn't possibly agree more with this entire statement. Cutting someone, be it a player, coach, GM ... anyone, without a better replacement in the wings is just plain stupid.
FireChan Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHaa you made a funny, You've been "done" with EJ for the last year or more. please don't pretend otherwise. or did I read that wrong and you were talking about Kyle Orton? Incorrect as always.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 (edited) He could've possibly did just that this season had he not been pulled by his HC. We will never know. I just don't want to see the Bills give up so quickly on a promising talent the way the Falcons(Favre) and Chargers(Brees) did. Very true. Orton being the best chance to win after back to back losses to KC and Miami was THE WORST bonehead move Marrone could make! Who else didn't see that the 5 to 9 THREE and outs per game was terrible? Maroon got a bug up his ass and screwed the Bills, you can probably link it to the shouting match at camp. Incorrect as always. WRT to Orton you WERE incorrect. WRT to EJ are also incorrect. billsfan1959 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Not necessarily Chan! A HC can lose you a game or two, just ask Seattle. Don't you know, Other things like coaching decisions, schemes, the other ten players on the offense, etc., can only contribute to sub par play and losses when the QB is not E.J. Manuel....
