Jerry Jabber Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Assuming Marcell Dareus’ drag racing court case has been resolved by the start of the season, how many games do you think Roger Goodell will suspend him for? Considering Goodell suspended Nigel Bradham for one game (the season opener) last season, even though the case was thrown out, I feel Dareus could be looking at a 2-4 game suspension. I’m also curious to see what Rex Ryan’s contingency plans are when Dareus will be on suspension.
Captain Hindsight Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Depends on when we play the Patriots
Jerry Jabber Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 I highly doubt Dareus walks away without a suspension from the NFL (I would love to be wrong though).
Roger Goodell Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 That has yet to be determined, but rest assured the NFL takes its player conduct polices very seriously.

Fans need to realize they can't compare substances to conduct as apples to apples in process or result
Jerry Jabber Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 “Drug issues are a different beast. I mentioned Bradham because he was suspended for one game for conduct detrimental to the NFL. It didn’t matter that the charges were dropped against Bradham, he still received a suspension from the NFL for getting arrested. Even if the charges of Dareus’ case get reduced to reckless driving, I still feel he will get a suspension from the NFL.
ExWNYer Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I believe that he should be suspended for 16 games with pay and subsequently have his contract voided. Sincerely, Robert Kraft P.S. - What I want, Roger does. (Suck it Buffalo!)
clearwater cadet Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 What about the pot arrest that's 1 game automatically.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I can seriously see him getting 3-4 games but having it appealed and reduced to 2 games CBF
NoSaint Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 What about the pot arrest that's 1 game automatically. Wasn't marijuana - wasn't a banned substance. That's a conduct conversation.
maddenboy Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I'ma go with Zero. A fine is a virtual certainty. No one was injured. Everyone involved was a consenting adult. Yes, there was theoretical public risk, but boys will be boys.
ndirish1978 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 0 - Drag racing is not an offense that violates any morals clause
