ChanOverChin Posted February 23, 2015 Author Posted February 23, 2015 I agree that the strong defense/running game won't necessarily garner the Bills a SB championship. However, what choice do they have without the benefit of a franchise QB??? They can't just manufacture a franchise QB out of thin air. They're best bet is too solidify what they can until they can find that franchise QB. They can solidify the defense by keeping Hughes and Spikes while adding a few players that fit Ryan's scheme. They can improve the O-line, which will help the running game and the QB. It's a no-brainer. After that they need to add some offensive weapons at RB, TE, and WR. McCown is not a bad option as a caretaker at QB. He would be my first choice among the FAs that are available. Sanchez #2. Hoyer #3. They could certainly look to trade for a guy like Brees or Bradford or Foles, but they need a willing partner to do that.
Not at the table Karlos Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Seattle features a balanced offense that runs well and a consistently good QB who can make throws. Just running the ball and playing defense is not a plan to win in this era, unless you can do what Seattle does. 49ers?
Agent 91 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I doubt anyone remembers a meaningless picture... Just saying. What exactly is the pic?

Just running the ball and playing defense is not a plan to win in this era, unless you can do what Seattle does. So you think they won't throw the ball to Watkins and Woods at all. Just run every down? Who said they weren't going to throw. Basing your offense on a strong running game does not mean you don't use talented WR's.
