YoloinOhio Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) @AroundTheNFL: Pace: "Cutler has outstanding physical talent. There's no denying that." Pace and Fox want to "figure out him as a person." @AndrewSiciliano: New Bears GM Ryan Pace won't call Jay Cutler his starting QB: "We're going to take our time on this." What are they going to do, give him Myers-Briggs test? Will they trade, cut him or make him a really expensive backup? Who else are they going to find? Maybe they rebuild completely? They certainly need to in defense and have mentioned moving on from Marshall. All new staff and FO. Inquiring minds want to know. Edited February 18, 2015 by YoloinOhio
C.Biscuit97 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He's not good. He should have to compete for his job. Half of the "starting" Qbs should. It's amazing how overrated he is.
Beef Jerky Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He is the best thing the Bears will have so he will have to start. Funny situation.
YoloinOhio Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Claussen is a FA. The only other QB they have is David Fales.
C.Biscuit97 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Claussen is a FA. The only other QB they have is David Fales. He will end up starting because there are only terrible Qbs out there. But he is not a franchise qb and shouldn't be treated like one.
Malazan Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 He's not good. He should have to compete for his job. Half of the "starting" Qbs should. It's amazing how overrated he is. But he can throw REALLY far!!
YoloinOhio Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 Who is mccown's agent, jimmy sexton? I think Cutler is gone. Both Fox and Pace had a chance to throw some public support behind him and neither could do it. @ESPNChiBears: John Fox tells us #Bears will move towards a 3-4 defense; met w/Jay Cutler but sounds non-committal; admits to being a big fan of J. McCown.
C.Biscuit97 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 But he can throw REALLY far!! Haha. I bet he can throw a football over a mountain. And really that's all that matters. Not leadership skills or turnovers.

In today's Chicago Tribune, an article wants the Bears to pass on Mariota if he falls to the Bears at #7. If that were to happen, IMHO, the Bears should jump at that chance and keep both Cutler and Mariota for 2015. If Cutler continues to underwhelm, let the Mariota era begin.

It seems to that they want to sign mccown, maybe draft a guy in the mid rounds (like a Sean Mannion) and trade Cutler so they can use that money to start rebuilding the D. Depends where Pace and Fox are in the mindset of the state of the team.

BillsFan-4-Ever Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 No, no, no, no no!!!! Enough already!!!! Cutler=Orton=Vick=washed out has been
Jamie Nails Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Bears sign McCown, we land Cutler via trade or free agency. viola
ExWNYer Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Claussen is a FA. The only other QB they have is David Fales. I can hear Chris Berman now: "David 'Epic' Fales"...
