Can't we just restructure Clay next year like we were afraid the Dolphins would do to match?

You can but the cap number drops in year 3. So no need.

True, the author laid out a decent case in the article that we might have to make some decisions, but I'm not too worried. However it is nice to know it is an option.

4.3 million would be enough to sign Spikes and possibly Dwan Landry depending on how much each go for. Use the remaining money to sure up the depth of the defense and then go after a Guard in round 2 and a tight end in round 3. Use the rest of the draft to build depth.

Whaley comments from AZ regarding cap: "we're tapped out; at point now where we've got to save for the draft choices and injury replacements."

ie - not any good value spots here but.... id imagine if it was the right fit, at the right price, theyd find a way.

So, they've shot their load - so to speak.

Now let's see if they've spent their money wisely.

It's been a long time since The Bills have gone all-in at such a level.

Good times. Good times.

With Clay included

It is surprising to me that Spotrac haven't figured that into their numbers. Their "cap space(w/top51& Projected Draft Pool)" number is really quite irrelevant as it is.

It looks to be that our cap space for rookie signings is only reduced by under $0.2M.

Thigpen (660K)?

That number seems reasonable for a low level FA signing. With Harvin signed now, I would think there is a decent chance that Thigpen could be cut....with no dead cap ramifications.

I'm betting he's thinking qb not kr
