The Poojer Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 i've used electric heaters to thaw pipes
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) How else you going to thaw those pipes! ;-) ;-) But, you have to be careful with the heaters. We have the big "torpedo" kerosene heaters in the pit @ work... Get too close and you will go up. The divers were using one to warm up after leaving the icy water... I got too close and singed the air on my arm... But boy was it toasty. Now they are saying "propane." I am assuming they were using the heaters that attach to the tank... Weren't they watching and had a fire extinguisher handy... WhyTF were they that close to anything combustible? I guess a small torch (assuming it's cu pipe) is no good either, don't want to desolder the joints? What a bunch of maroons! Edited February 18, 2015 by ExiledInIllinois
