I thought immediately of the "Seneca Guns" or "Guns of the Seneca" near Seneca & Cayuga Lake. # 2 is the "booms" or mistpouffers as in Fennimore Cooper's The Lake Gun.

 

Can't be fracking, can't be sonic booms since Cooper lived 200 years ago. :nana: Just imagine how quiet things were back then. :thumbsup:
